Property located close to my job location.
Reserved a double queen room on the lower floor.
Ended up in a single queen situation.
free upgrade when I complained about being beside parking lot, great toiletries & coffee
dirt/hair on floor of bathroom, parking spaces very narrow (typical of BC)
The bathroom was disappointing as the shower did not work properly.
Convenient
The bed was comfortable, the assessability to the room was poor, parking was worse
The bed was good
My reservation was for May 21 to May 24. When I checked into the hotel on May 21, the hotel charged my credit card 1,366.83 CAD plus an additional 100 CAD security deposit. I was informed that the 100 CAD deposit would be refunded after check-out.
However, on May 22, the front desk contacted me and informed me that there had been a mistake in their system. They explained that after my check-in was completed, the system somehow checked me out again by mistake. They also stated that they did not yet know how they would resolve the issue and that they would discuss it with management and update me later.
Despite this, without providing me with any further explanation or obtaining my consent, the hotel charged an additional 1,073.24 CAD + 356.26 to my credit card.
Shortly after this, I also received a notification through Booking.com stating that my reservation had been canceled and that a no-show fee would be charged.
I would like to clearly state that this situation was not caused by me in any way. I properly checked into the hotel and stayed there as planned. I do not understand why:
My card was charged a 3 timeS without my authorization,
My reservation appears as canceled on Booking.com,
A no-show fee is being mentioned even though I was physically present and checked in at the hotel.
