Tremendous value, clean rooms, would 100% come here anytime I visit Manhattan Beach
Pros:

The breakfast was simple but suitable for almost everyone. A lactose free milk option would have been my only change. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the room very spacious. The HVAC units worked perfectly. The water pressure in the shower could have been higher is my only change to the room.

Cons:

We asked for extra towels a few times and it took until the next day to receive them. Otherwise the service was as expected! There is NO water fountain on the property is my only other bit of grievance.

It's a reasonably priced hotel near the sea which does the job.
Pros:

The location is excellent. It is walking distance from Manhattan beach and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby including Dunkin donuts, Starbucks and Target. There is also an excellent Thai restaurant across the road. The underground parking is also a bonus. The pool was also a great place to be. Although there was no tea available at breakfast the man on reception allowed me to use their urn to fill my therma mug and use my own tea bags whenever I liked.

Cons:

As others have mentioned we had to ask for extra towels so our family of four had one each. We were there for four nights and our room was not cleaned after 2. When I asked at reception on our second evening , I was told my room would only be cleaned if I gave permission.

One day we were using the pool the police were onsite. They were supporting an elderly guest. This made me wonder if the hotel is used by authorities to home individuals in welfare emergencies. As I say -we did not feel threatened in anyway but it did give the stay an unusual feel. Breakfast was minimal and not of good quality as others have mentioned. But we did grab fruit and the wrapped muffins which were ok. If you are heading out for the day it was fine for something to grab. There were plastic tubs in the hallway catching water and the hotel had a bit of a rundown feel in the communal areas.

Great budget friendly choice for beach vacation!
Pros:

Bed was comfortable and room was updated and quiet.

Cons:

Couple extra towels needed. Only two large towels provided. We had a king room with a sofa sleeper and 4 people staying in the room. Had to go ask for extra towels and then questioned by staff if there were any in my room. They may have just been clarifying as to if housekeeping provided any at all, but it still feels uncomfortable to be questioned when a few extra towels would just be helpful in a room and party of our size from the beginning. Also there were no extra pillows or blankets which some places provide just in case. Other than that it was great.
