friendly staff, great location, fair price
We were allowed in to our room early. There was a minor problem but the staff were very quick to resolve it.
Happy hour was perfect for us.
The location is ideal for the museums, the Albert Hall, and Hyde Park. We even walked to Paddington and Marble Arch.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they made us feel very welcome.
The room was a little small but that was not a problem and we didn't plan on spending much time awake in it in any case.
Very nice, straightforward hotel. Modest/small room but comfortable and excellent bathroom (no views, working courtyard view etc). Clean. Very helpful staff. Lady manager in evidence and engaged with staff and guests. Was missing AC in room but that was recognised on arrival and some compensation provided (along with a small fan). Breakfast very good and reasonable value overall.
Decor - could have been a lot lighter and airier - more welcoming. Rather dark and gloomy!

One of my v favourite London top boutique hotels
Nothing not to like
Perfect location right near the Natural History Museum and within walking distance of a lot of sights.
No parking
Location and decor
Nothing
The hotel has a unique decor that is just so much fun. We were very lucky to have a Penthouse Suite which had wonderful artwork not only on the walls but integrated into the furniture also.
Staff were amazing, and breakfast was fabulous!
As per the usual design flaws in almost every hotel I've been to through the years, there is no vanity station. I was stuck in a badly-lit corner trying to put on make-up, or had to take a tiny hand-held mirror and go outside to see.
There was not a single plug socket near a mirror so drying hair was also impossible - had to take the small mirror and place it on the table, trailing the dryer wire across to the nearest socket so I could style my hair.
Small things, but important as I was over for an event and needed to look my best.
The staff and overall approach.
I couldn’t work the shower. The bath was hard to get out of. Bed not very comfortable and very low. Pillows unforgiving.
Great location. Friendly staff. Lovely hotel.
Bed was really uncomfortable, but apart from that everything was fine
Moldy room.
