High quality service, excellent location.
Pros:

Roof bar have excellent view. Staff is definitely extra polite, friendly staff. Warm Greek hospitality and excellent service all around. Breakfast is good, gluten free friendly. Location is very central.

Not perfect, but I will being be staying at this hotel the next time I am in Athens.
Pros:

The location of the hotel for public transportation and access to tourist sights is good. The view of the Parthenon from the restaurant on the top floor are very good.

Cons:

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times now and the Parthenon View room I booked this time was somewhat disappointing as compared to my prior stays as the room was not on a upper floor and had two twin beds pushed together instead of one larger bed as I had requested.

Aussicht vom Frühstücksraum auf die Akropolis ist grossartig

Cons:

Zum Teil gab es Lärm von der Strasse auch noch spät in der Nacht,
Wasserdruck der Dusche ist recht schwach

Astor Hotel Athens was in a very, very central location, making it incredibly easy to get around. The hotel overall was very clean and meticulously maintained. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and highly professional.

If you want to stay near Syntagma Square or Ermou Street, the location is optimal. The restaurant at top is a great place to start your day with breakfast.
