The best place to stay in an elegant family hotel only one block off of the Parque Central.
Pros:

We loved everything about our stay at Las Cruces, our favorite of 4 hotels we stayed at in Guatemala. It is a boutique 11 room old family hacienda centered around an open courtyard with the most charming touches one block off of Parque Central in the very heart of Antigua. It was a true 5 star property with all the appropriate finishes. Our room was very large with a sitting area and comfortable couch, nice modern bathroom and walk in closest. The grounds couldn’t have been nicer or more elegant with many age appropriate touches that made you feel like you were staying in the personal home of a wealthy family from a by gone era. It was like a living museum with many old Colonial Spanish period pieces and even real Mayan artifacts. The breakfast was delicious and enjoying it with local coffee in the outdoor patio was a great and relaxing way to start the day that I miss already. And of course the entire staff was beyond friendly, helpful and professional and added to our wonderful stay. I can’t say enough nice things nor wait to return someday.

Cons:

Zero. I would say it was pricey by Guatemalan standards but still well worth it due to how nice it was and the service it delivered.

A charmed stay in Antigua.
Pros:

The property was so beautiful with all the artifacts. The room spacious and very clean. Loved have the coffee press for early morning coffee before breakfast. The breakfast choices (all delicious) were varied so you could have a different each day. And the staff, amazingly helpful.

Cons:

We can’t think of anything. We’d stay here again.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Antigua
Pros:

Location is perfect in the center of town. Walking distance to everything. This hotel is beautiful and very artistic. Breakfast was excellent and the waiters were very nice.

Cons:

It was hard to communicate with the receptionist lady. She didn’t speak English at all, so some misunderstanding during communication. The restaurant doesn’t offer dinner only breakfast.

This one goes on my list of favorite hotels anywhere!
Pros:

The location was very convenient, with lots of areas to walk around and explore. The atmosphere of the hotel is absolutely amazing; so authentic and historic, and the decor was gorgeous. As soon as we walked in, everything felt calm and peaceful and we knew we had chosen a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable; the bed and the bathroom were also wonderful. The breakfast was fantastic as well. We stayed for 2 nights and were sad to leave.

Cons:

This was not the fault of the hotel, but the electricity in the area was out for most of one day. It was an inconvenience, but future guests should be aware it can happen.

Beauty and serenity behind the gates!
Pros:

A really beautiful boutique hotel right in the center of Antigua.
We loved it as soon as we walked through the main gate and got immersed in a tranquil and beautiful setting of the hotel. You get to leave the world behind, as they say. The attention to detail is amazing - the hotel’s common spaces and the room were filled with such unique and beautiful artifacts, such a feast to the eye.
The room was very comfortable, so were the beds. We had all the pillows we could possibly want, and there are robes and slippers in the closet. Good shower, l’Occitane toiletries.
We got a welcome beverage right upon the arrival, along with a moist hand towel to get an instant refreshment from the road, such a nice and thoughtful touch.
The courtyard is beautiful.
There was a bilingual photo book on Guatemala in our room that I read with great pleasure while enjoying the stunning photos. Thanks to that book, we went to see the ruins of San Jose cathedral in Antigua. We would have never guessed from the street view how majestic and impressive those ruins would be inside!
Breakfast was good, the plates had a lovely presentation and everything tasted fresh and delicious! The waiter is very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Umbrellas are available at the front desk.

Cons:

The sign outside is not very visible. It is a black plaque on the wall, so the name doesn't stand out much. We arrived at the address and had to walk around for a few minutes trying to locate the entrance. Everything else was perfect!

Fine Antigua property
Pros:

An extremely well kept property. A real sense of quiet and privacy
Excellent breakfast
Very friendly staff
Very local
Astounding history
Magnificent artifacts and authentic treasures
Guatamalan coffee provided in suite

Cons:

Shower not efficient
No water provided for kettle, yet water from the tap unsafe
No provisions for any other meal.or service other than breakfast
Fish knife was substituted for butter knife. Strange.
No staff familiar with property history, even a simple version
Additional meals throughout the day apart from breakfast would have been welcome. Light lunches, dinner. Apart from tapas.

Perfect upscale oasis in the heart of the city!
Pros:

The room was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was amazing and it was well stocked with all the amenities you would need. There was air conditioning, which isn’t common everywhere. The staff greeted me with a cool welcome towel and an excellent welcome drink which was amazing after a long travel day. The French toast breakfast was next level. Really loved this place and so walkable to everything! Tour companies, restaurants, the Antigua’s gym and yoga studios. Absolutely loved my stay. Highly recommend.

Cons:

The entry to the hotel is a little hard to locate.
