The NOLA charm to it.
Theres a part of the hotel that doesn’t have elevator access. So we had to lug our suitcase, but for only 2 flights of stairs
Front desk staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly! Great location and the hotel has do much history to it! Definitely has potential to be an amazing hotel!
There was so much construction going on. Large areas of the floor and wall ripped out in the hallways. Also, the beautiful court yard area had a giant white stained ugly tarp above it that kind of ruined the whole vibe. Rooms did have a stale smell. The wine bar had posted hours that it was open until 11. When we went in at 9:15 after returning from dinner there were people sitting at the bar. They told us they were closed and wouldn't even let us look at the area. Posted hours should be honored.
Very clean and convenient to French Quarters
No microwave
It’s a beautiful hotel and courtyard, we enjoyed it once again. The room wasn’t great, had some issues like an odd noise sounding like wind coming through the walls, lights coming in from the door edges and windows, no bathroom ventilation and a tiny bathroom sink/vanity area.
.
There was a slight unpleasant smell.
Got lost trying to find the room.
This is a charming French Quarter hotel. If you want to be by Bourbon, the location is excellent. For me, it was a little too close. We had a balcony room on Bienville, but if I stay here again I’ll probably request a room over the courtyard. The value was good for the location but we were unable to enjoy all of the amenities because the wine bar was closed for a private event and our room included two drinks from there. The hotel clerk checking us in failed to mention that. Valet is extremely slow, one time took about an hour and the other about 30 minutes. Overall more pleasant than not.
Company is advertising a 20% discount online if booked directly. When you call to get the discount they are saying “we just haven’t updated the website yet and refusing the discounted rate”.
Such a great hotel! Quaint and in the perfect location- close to almost everything today most do while in NOLA!
Hotel rooms are overall great. A bit musty- but it is NOLA and after the first hour, didn’t notice it again.
Bathroom is fine, shower is great. Bring your own hair products as don’t recommend what they have- at least for the girls out there.
Having the wine bar just downstairs off courtyard and an amazing bar (21st Amendment) with life music just on backside of hotel, it can’t be beat for the price point!
The staff, esp. William, made the arrival feel like it must have many, many years ago.
Also, the fruit water in the courtyard daily- absolutely amazing!
Can’t say enough!
Lots of marble, chandelier, high ceilings, and shuttered windows. Half block away from Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter. Very quiet location. Two courtyard areas. Highly recommend it!
Anna the desk clerk was absolutely awesome!! Friendly helpful knowledgeable!! We would have left early but when talking with her at check out she shared information about information on a bus tour regarding information on the city! We decided to do it she booked it for us the bus even picked us up at the hotel. She held our bags for us till we got back that afternoon. She was awesome. Perfect location to Bourbon street. Felt safe even though we didn’t arrive till after midnight! All staff was great! Problem finding the hotel it wasn’t hotel problem it was a city problem because of street signs!! Will definitely be back!!
Loved being in a historical building in the quarter. The location was is easy walking distance to everything. The room was charming and very comfortable. We loved the courtyard and and the bar.
Although the bathroom was very pretty, there was nowhere to put any personal items. We had to keep our toiletries on the desk and carry whatever we needed into the bathroom each time we needed something. Shelves or a small cabinet would have been helpful.
Perfect little Boutique Hotel with a European flavor right in the heart of the French Quarter. Rooms and bathroom are large, with a big shower. Big comfortable bed. Small fridge. The interior Courtyard is a great place to sit and listen to the fountain. Breakfast is very good, only Wednesday through Sunday. Staff is great and very helpful. This is my number one choice for staying in the Quarter. You get the small boutique Hotel vibe and avoid the big bustling crowds you get at the Sonesta, which is right across the street, or the Monteleone, which is just a block down the street.
Wish breakfast was served every day.
An incident out of the hotel’s control occurred during our first night. When reported to the reception on the following morning, professional action was immediately taken by the personnel and compensation for the inconvenience was offered. We saw how customer service oriented the personnel is. It was greatly appreciated. We feel there is no reason to write details of the incident on social medias since it was very well taken care of.
Furthermore, we must mention that interior court, which is very european, was beautiful and allowed some quietness from the noise of the lively street.
We liked everything! We would go back without any hesitation.
Last month, I was there and we had a fire alarm and evacuation one night. It started around 2am and ended with a "false alarm" declared around 3am. I couldnt go back to sleep!
I checked out the next morning and found that the front desk didnt even acknowledge it happened.
It would have been nice if the hotel offered some compensation like a complimentary breakfast...but no....not even a consillatory cup of coffee on them. Pretty disappointing.
WiFi was terrible
