Safe, perfect location and super lively! Lovely hotel by the harbour.
Pros:

The property is located very close to the downtown harbour and waterfront as well as the city centre. We stayed at another hotel nearby but that one was further away. This one is located spot on downtown! At night the streets become lively around this hotel unlike the ones closer to the casino that have sketchy people frequent the area. The rooms were super clean beds were super soft and comfy and the rooms were silent! Staff were great and the restaurant was lovely too! We had a great view of the harbour from the 6th floor and will be coming back to Coast Hotels next time we’re in town!

I will choose a different hotel next time I'm in Nanaimo.

For the price, I expected better. Gym and other areas didn't seem clean. Lobby area not inviting or what one would expect for a hotel at this price range.

Booked two rooms and they would not accommodate us being on the same floor! Their idea of a waterview is if you sit at one end of the couch. Room is dated, air conditioner like an airplane taking off. Ate dinner & breakfast at the restaurant and was just acceptable.
