Hotel, Gebäude, Ausstattung gut, Personal ok, Gegend und Umgebung schrecklich
Pros:

Lage war gut, auch wenn wir von Nanaimo äußerst enttäuscht waren. Würden diese Stadt nicht mehr besuchen. Parken war gut, da Plätze in einer öffentlichen Parkgarage fürs Hotel reserviert sind. Hafen und umliegende Straßen gut fußläufig erreichbar.

Cons:

Da die Stadt sehr heruntergekommen ist liegen rund ums Hotel Obdachlose und Drogenabhängige, die wir sogar vom Zimmer aus beobachten konnten. An der Rezeption wurden wir bei Anreise wir Abreise nur mäßig freundlich empfangen. Da es zwischen Booking und Hotel irgend ein technisches Problem gab, wurden uns ein "falsches" Zimmer zugewiesen, das wir eigentlich nicht haben wollten. Erst nach mehrmaligem nörgeln wurde uns ein kleiner Betrag in Kulanz rückerstattet.

We were well taken care of and the facilities were clean. The location was great for walking.
Pros:

The concierge waiting outside was very helpful when we pulled up and asked where to park and what to do. We asked the front desk if there would possibly be an upgrade available and they checked for us but we had already been assigned a great room.

Cons:

One elevator was out if service for a day because of a storm which made the wait long but it was unavoidable. No criticism.

Stanza molto spaziosa con vista stupenda sul porto, molto pulita . Personale molto gentile e disponibile.

Cons:

L’ambiente reception non è al livello del resto dell’hotel e la colazione non mi ha soddisfatto per la cifra pagata

Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

The staff at this hotel are amazing. Our room was so nice, beautifully renovated, amazing view of harbour. Love the refreshments in the lobby, lemonade in the afternoon & coffee in the morning.

Cons:

The only complaint was that it was very noisy during the night. So many seagulls & people yelling on street.
