Hyatt Place Roanoke Airport / Valley View Mall

Room was not as described. There was no sofa, microwave or wet bar, no closet door, scratched paint on bathroom door. I arrived in the evening after driving all day and was too tired to ask for another room. Bed was comfortable and the tv worked so I decided not to request a room change.
Breakfast was fine and room was clean - those were the positives

New rooms, very clean- exceptional breakfast. The attendant at breakfast was amazing- everything was fresh, coffee hot.

The hotel experience was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. And the staff very friendly. And we took advantage of the free shuttle to the Roanoke Airport.

Very clean, friendly staff, General Manager (Skylar) treated me like I was checking into the Ritz. The room felt updated and I appreciated how cold the air conditioning was.

Rooms are very well mantinace, great staff, comfortable, beautiful views. The room was very organized along withl needed essentials.

The location was nice

We had a terrible stay. The hotel was under construction so most of the entrances were blocked and people were lugging around wood and machinery around which got in the way. The building was barely functional as the elevators didn’t start and most doors were agar and being held up with a stick. The breakfast offered was cold and bland with not much of selection and when we tried to leave it sounded like people screaming in the rooms. Please don’t book your stay here as the renovations make this hotel unbearable.

This was the first bad experience I have had at this hotel. They were renovating, which I understand has to be done, but the front doors were closed on a very busy weekend and luggage had to be brought in a side door with no ramp for the luggage carrier. Pool was closed. Food on breakfast bar that was supposed to be hot, was either cold or dried out. Towels smelled musty. Only one elevator was working causing wait times to be long for elevator. The front desk clerk did apologize for the inconvenience but the renovations on a busy weekend caused a difficult stay for us.

Do not stay here under any circumstances. The hotel is under extreme renovations that are not safe for guests to be onsite for. The restaurant, bar, pool and all common spaces are all closed. Rooms were dirty with stained sheets and the staff was beyond rude. We checked out after one night due to our experience and they charged for a second night 'due to their policy'. These people have no business working in hospitality.
