It was okay but overpriced for the room.
Pros:

What a great location and the staff were lovely.

Cons:

The mattress was not comfortable, the bathroom was dated and the water not particularly hot and didn’t last long enough. A 50cm hole in the middle of the bottom sheet.

Power points were too low to the floor at the bed for our plugs so we had to ask for a giant box thing.

No water jug to have cold water.

There was supposed to be a river view but it was a small section between buildings and not a view at all.

Very dissapointing compared with other Mercures.
Pros:

I paid $219.00 for a $140 Motel quality

Cons:

decor, room smelled, restaurant was closed. When I booked it said breakfast was inlcuded then the hotel said it wasnt.

Good Location
Pros:

Multi storey building with lift, set back from Quay St on the Rockhampton waterfront. Large free outdoor carpark. Our late booked, third floor river view room offered river glimpses but higher floors would have clearer views. The room had frig with small freezer, kettle, coffee maker and hair dryer.
Shower was over the bath but had non-slip mat and a good grab rail. We were offered a room with walk-in shower but it was not a river view.
Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. There is a restaurant on-site and lots of eating choices along Quay St.

Great for going to the theatre as its so close
Pros:

We always stay here when going to the theatre as its only 130 metres away. Great venue close to good restaurants

Cons:

Not keen on showers over the bath due to my mobility but otherwise there is nothing to complain about with this Hotel
