Pros:

No opportunity to discover what I may like

Cons:

Not being able to stay due to now hot water. After driving 300km we would have preferred the staff could have called and warned us. Instead they were told they were not allowed to do that.

Disappointing and overpriced
Pros:

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

The hotel did not meet the standard it portrayed itself to be. For nearly $300 a night I would not expect there to be stains all over the carpet, broken side lamps with dangerous and unsafe temporary fixes and bathrooms with mould filled silicone that smell like cigarettes. The pool had no lighting so it was unsafe to be up there while it was still open (only till 7pm.) it was also unsafe to access the pool via a stairwell with broken and rusted flooring. The pool is also not heated and there are loose floor planks. Very disappointing and the whole hotel feels dirty, uncared for and sad.

Disappointing room in an excellent location.
Pros:

The location is excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we asked for another room.

Cons:

The rooms are very worn out and old. The bed and the couch were uncomfortable. The rooms and corridors had a horrible “perfume” smell.

Will not return!
Cons:

Excellent location BUT ... (1) it is totally not user-friendly as there is only a narrow flight of stairs to the lobby and good luck if you have a 20+ kg suitcases to drag up and down these stairs and there is no one at all to help you (just a receptionist at the counter who does not move a finger); (2) the carpet is so disgusting in the room with stains all over; (3) apparently no choice of firmness of pillows until I said I would never return to the hotel again as I didn't have a restful sleep the previous night due to the soft pillows (then miraculously a firm pillow appears in my room). The entire lobby is under renovation, and all you get is a small check-in counter - you can't even sit down. This is absolutely unacceptable - don't be fooled by the beautiful photos.

Pros:

Location excellent

Cons:

It’s a little bit tired. The taps in the bathroom were wobbly. My bed felt a little lopsided. Pillow selection wasn’t great.

Pros:

Breakfast more than adequate- range of dishes. GREAT location - easy walk to The Forum and all city centre attractions. Loved the quirky decor.

Cons:

Disappointing that restaurant wasn’t open but hopefully that’s a temporary issue. No bedside power points.

Pleasant stay spoiled by construction noise.
Cons:

Loud construction noise the next morning was stressful and disappointing. I know that this is out of the hotel's hands but it still affected us during our stay at the property.
