Always a warm welcome as you walk through the door!
Sadly for one day the parking outside the hotel was suspended.
Breakfast good that’s it final
It would have been better if booking . Com and hotel had been honest and informed us that the restaurant and bar were all booked for a wedding party so we had no amenities at all. Obviously we would not have booked if had known no person in sound mind would have done. We will never use booking . Com again or the ardington hotel both companies dishonest in there description of what we could have expected ? Why didn’t either company tell us that hotel was taken over for wedding reception.
Friendly quiet hotel, two mins walk to sea front or, in other direction, to shopping centre. Excellent breakfast buffet.
It is the town centre -so paid parking, either on the street or in a nearby car park.
Fantastic location, 2min walk from the beach. Delicious and generous breakfast, combining a buffer and freshly cooked options. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff at the front desk.
There's no private parking at the hotel, but on-street and multi-storey car parks are available within a short walking distance. There was a step leading to my bathroom, with a warning sign but still a bit inconvenient. Small shower, but good water pressure and temperature.

Location was excellent and really enjoyed the meal in the evening
Found some areas and the bathroom a little tired looking
looking at a brick wall out of the window, maybe some planters would help, felt like a prison
Very friendly reception staff. Friendly bar staff. Very prompt service of hot food in the bar in the evening. Pleasant and hard working staff servicing the breakfast tables. The receptionist was very helpful in allocating me a room in the quietiest part of the house, i.e. upstairs, and at the back of the house, furthest from the downstairs event room where a wedding celebration (with music playing) was apparently being hosted that night.
Whilst it WAS mostly quiet in the early hours, at least once it went past about 12:30am ish, (this was Sunday morning), I was awoken at 5:00am by noise from another guest, who had slammed - what sounded like - wardrobe doors - the same or similar noise occurred again 45 minutes later. Not clear if this noise was from the same guest or somebody else.

Breakfast and food was good and genrral location.
Book a superior room but got a shower over a bath instead of walk-in shower. when I queried this with staf they said that the former were the superior rooms. not good for us 80 year olds stepping into a bath where you can't stand with two feet together because of the narrow width of the bath.
It was very close to the seafront, opposite a small park.
When we entered the room it smelt musty and we were unable to open the windows to get any fresh air.
