Wonderful!
Pros:

The staff was amazing, especially the front desk and the bartenders. Marie and Veronica, I know her name began with a V. They both were so fun and made our short stay exceptional.

Cons:

Clean, friendly staff, comfortable. We really enjoyed it.

Rude Overwhelmed night auditer
Pros:

The night auditor at the front desk was rude, dismissive, and clearly not suited for customer service. He gave incorrect information about the hotel and responded with a snarky attitude when asked for a copy of the folio. He stares down at the customer and grunted his answers, showing blatant disrespect. He seriously needs a new line of work.

Bad Night Sleep
Pros:

The room division and size.
The dark curtains
The mirror in the bathroom

Cons:

The bed was really hard. I am 71years old and the bed gave my hips pain. There was no give at all in the mattress.

The couch and toilet were low for a senior.

I could not open the balcony door more than an inch and my son had to push very hard to close it

First time staying here, we loved it & plan to return again.
Pros:

Everything was excellent.

Cons:

Young rude guests causing problems in the round about & checking out a young adult dropping a bottle of crown royal in front of my family. Glass shattered every where. We loved that the bible can still be found in a hotel, thank you.

Pros:

The property was well maintained and the staff was receptive.

Cons:

The only negative is that breakfast is not included. I would say that a better option would be to include breakfast within the price of the stay.

Great hotel except for the noise
Pros:

Great location right next to south coast plaza and the airport.

Cons:

If you're sensitive to noise, ask them NOT to place you near the giant heat/AC units at one end of the building. We had to change rooms because it kept me up. The other room was further away and quiet.

⭐ Five Stars Isn't Enough
Pros:

What a fantastic stay! From the moment I booked our trip, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our entire family was taken care of. Michael was incredibly helpful before we even arrived, patiently helping me add additional rooms and making sure everything was arranged perfectly for our family.
Jacob showed what true hospitality looks like. He actually stayed past the end of his shift to make sure everything was taken care of and that our family was settled and comfortable. That level of care and dedication is rare and meant so much to us.
Jacob, Michael, Tyler, and Adrian made our stay memorable with their friendliness, humor, and genuine kindness. They treated us like family rather than just guests.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. Breakfast was wonderful, the pool was awesome (the floats were a huge hit!), and every interaction left us smiling. From parking assistance to answering questions and making sure we had everything we needed, the service was truly above and beyond.
What impressed me most was how much this team genuinely cared. Michael helped coordinate our rooms before arrival, and Jacob stayed after his shift to ensure everything was perfect. Those acts of kindness don't go unnoticed.
Thank you to this amazing team for creating such a wonderful experience. We left feeling cared for, appreciated, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Consistently Amazing Experience!
Pros:

This property is one of my favorite Marriott properties of all time, and my wife and I have been pretty loyal for many, many years. The staff at the Costa Mesa Marriott is what makes this place run. From Michael the manager, Thanuri, Jacob, Adrian, Julian, Tyler, Shalah and the rest of the front desk team- absolutely impeccable service all the time!

The location is right off the freeway(but no noise), near South Coast, Plaza, and all the rooms are suites. They have an M Club and there is a beautiful pond in the back of the property with families of ducks and geese and a wide assortment of various trees along the trail. It is really tranquil and beautiful in an otherwise hectic area.

For business or personal travel, I could not recommend this hotel more. Truly, truly at this property, it is about the people though. They make you feel like you are home and are truly the definition of the Gold Standard, always going above and beyond.
