Great stay
Pros:

Best Brunch Experience
Pros:

Nice location on Bloor street with live entertainment every evening in their lobby. Room is modern and clean. Toki listening bar at Tono by Akira back is a hidden Gem in this hotel.

Overly high priced for no amenities. No pool sauna or tub. No balcony or patio. No casual coffee bar
Pros:

He location was excellent for restaurants and sights.

Cons:

The room was not comfortable or functional. Lots of glass and marble. Glass doors on toilet and shower were very awkward. No vanity to get ready for to put stuff.. no drawers to store clothes. Basically the designer went for looks over comfort.

Very disappointed for a W hotel

The location

Cons:

The room is not comfortable and feels crammed because there is not a separate bathroom area. The sink and tiny vanity are in the room along with the shower and toilet. There is a tiny closet and then a clothes rack connected to the outside of the closet.

Fire alarm and management incompetence/indifference.
Pros:

I have exactly two expectations from a hotel:
1. I can sleep
2. I can do so safely

This property failed at both. Spectacularly.

The fire alarm has been going off for hours. Not a drill. Not a quick false alarm. Hours of nonstop alarm with no resolution — and it’s still ongoing as I write this. The fire department has already confirmed there is no emergency, and yet the hotel remains completely unable to fix, silence, or properly manage the situation.

To be clear, the problem isn’t the problem. Things break. Alarms malfunction. That happens.

The problem is the gross incompetence in resolving it.

At one point, they were attempting to disable parts of the fire safety system just to make the noise stop. That’s not a solution — that’s a safety risk layered on top of an operational failure.

A faulty alarm system like this points to deeper maintenance issues. But the complete lack of response, coordination, or leadership turned a bad situation into an unacceptable one.

The front desk associate was kind and clearly trying, but completely unequipped and abandoned. No manager. No ownership. No plan. Just a single employee left to absorb the fallout of a building-wide failure.

This isn’t just a bad stay. It’s a breakdown of basic safety and operational competence.

Do not book here.

Ps on cleanliness, upon check in I found a stray water bottle cap on the night stand - lack of attention to basics.

Nice location, but why bother if you can’t trust your sleep nor safety. Not worth it.
