Great staff
I am a Marriot fan and status holder anyways, so I don’t usually post a review, however I wanted to make this particular review for this location because it was a great stay. We only stayed one night as an in between other stops on our vacation in Puerto Rico and I honestly regret not staying here for the whole leg of our San Juan portion. The location of the hotel was actually very easy with onsite valet parking so I was able to keep my rental car, the onsite bar had very friendly staff who my daughter loved being able to order a fun drink from. Their pool was nice and great for my preteen, and it was great sleep that reminded me why I typically choose Marriott’s when possible. Next time we plan San Juan again I will skip staying in OLD San Juan and definitely come back to this Marriot location.
El servicio del personal. Realmente se sentía bien sinceras sus sugerencias y ganas de ayudar. Siempre atendían con mucha amabilidad y en todo momento estaban prestos a ayudar. Esto se pudo apeciar con diferentes personas.
El mobiliarion de nuestra habitación la hacía mucho más incómoda de lo que ya de por sí era. Parece que los muebles no fueron hechos a la medida para esa habitación y el área donde supuestamente uno podría sentarse a revisar algo en la laptop realmente no era funcional.

Realicé una reserva por medio de Booking para 3 habitaciones. Al llegar al hotel, me informaron que Booking únicamente había registrado 2 habitaciones y que yo debía comunicarme directamente con Booking para solucionarlo. Después de varias gestiones por mi cuenta, finalmente logré resolver el problema.
Sin embargo, al día siguiente se realizó un cobro correspondiente a 4 habitaciones. Cuando solicité ayuda en recepción, dos personas distintas me indicaron que no podían hacer nada al respecto y que debía resolverlo directamente con mi banco.
Posteriormente fui atendida por el manager, quien realizó una búsqueda utilizando el código de mi tarjeta y confirmó que efectivamente se habían realizado 4 cobros. Gracias a esa revisión, se pudo identificar el error y gestionar la devolución correspondiente.
Quiero expresar mi inconformidad con el manejo de ambas situaciones. En todo momento la responsabilidad fue trasladada al huésped, sin intención de verificar o ayudar a solucionar los inconvenientes desde el hotel. Si hubiera aceptado la respuesta inicial de las primeras dos personas que me atendieron, el cobro incorrecto se habría mantenido y no se habría realizado ninguna devolución.
Al tratarse de un hotel de cadena, esperaba un mejor servicio al cliente, mayor disposición para ayudar y un manejo más responsable frente a errores administrativos y cobros indebidos.

Long wait in lobby at check in
I have to agree with many who have written about being close to the elevator, and how annoying it is. I was on the fifth floor room 502, not terribly close to the elevator but close enough that every two or three minutes it sounded like an airplane was landing. I also have to agree with the poor design of the bathroom, when you sit due to it, poor proportionality, you’re sitting at an incline at an incline, and if you stand to urinate, you have to hold the toilet seat with one hand and do your business with the other because the seat will not stay up again, due to the proportionality and poor planning. The night staff was good and friendly. The restaurant was OK. The pool was too small and doesn’t look like it was very well kept.
