Please note that The Ultimo requires an AUD 50 credit card pre-authorization, or AUD 200 cash or Eftpos deposit upon check in to cover any incidental charges. A credit card pre-authorization is a freeze placed on your account by your financial institution and is not a debit to the account.

Upon check-out, any outstanding balance owed will be confirmed and debited to the card provided. If the balance is zero the full amount will release back to your account within the next 5–7 working days from your financial institution.

Un hôtel très bien localisé, calme et d'un bon rapport qualité/prix pour un séjour professionnel
Pros:

L'emplacement était très bien, il me permettait de me rendre facilement au centre de conférences. Le quartier est vivant mais calme, et on s'y sent en parfaite sécurité. Il est également proche de la gare centrale et de la ligne de tramway.
La literie était d'une excellente qualité et le personnel était chaleureux et toujours très serviable. Je prenais mon petit-déjeuner en face de l'hôtel à Chambers Coffee Haymarket : personnel très chaleureux également et offre variée et d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix. J'y ai découvert de très bonnes tartines !

Cons:

Dans la chambre, il manque une penderie et un vrai bureau. Je suis effectivement restée 7 nuits, je n'avais pas de quoi pendre mes vêtements soigneusement, il y avait seulement 2 patères et 1 unique portemanteau. Pour travailler, cela manquait également de confort car seuls un fauteuil et sa petite table ronde attenante étaient disponibles. Il y avait pourtant suffisamment de place pour les accueillir car chambre spacieuse mais mobilier très dépouillé.

Location - close to ICC where I needed to be and surprisingly good iron.

Cons:

I am very sorry to have to write this, but unfortunately, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in Australia. Never in my wildest dreams would I expect to stay in a hotel room with NO WINDOWS. To add to that, it was tiny, I literally rolled out of bed into the bathroom, it felt so claustrophobic and dark. One of the towels, which I didn't use, had a red stain on it that looked like unwashed blood. The walls are so thin, you could hear everyone walk through the hall and all their conversations. I am really sad to say this, but your photos do not represent the reality of this hotel.

Pros:

Staff were very nice and assisted with the parking, it was great that it was only around the corner!

Cons:

It would be better to have the parking address listed in the description or sent in an email after booking as I had to call twice to get the specific street number

Hotel location is fantastic, close to some excellent restaurants (Coysan and Pork Fat) and decent coffee across the road at Chambers Coffee. Easy stroll up George St to the heart of the CBD (Town Hall). As a former Sydney-sider born & bred, it was great to see that some of the original heart of the Haymarket is still there. Wednesday night at Paddy's was a revelation, as the markets are activated with live music and dancing. I discovered the local IGA in Market City (opposite The Ultimo) - the best I ever seen - an incredible selection of Asian groceries.

Cons:

Layout of the room - the bedhead was in line with the door and the door to the room was at the end of the main corridor. Felt like bad Feng shui - I pulled the two chairs and small occasional table away from the wall to mitigate the 'bad energy'. Although the bed was comfortable, sleep wasn't that great. Not sure why the bed as positioned as it was, as it looked to me that there was ample room to have the bed oriented away from the door of the room. Overall room was clean and quiet, with a great view overlooking Quay St and the entrance to UTS.

Didn’t like it at all. Woulent spend the money

Was close to our venue and the staff were nice

Cons:

Untidy, room didn’t get cleaned all week. Very nosy from all the work going on so we couldn’t sleep. The room was very old and outdated. The bathroom felt like a hospital room
