Please note there is a 1.5% surcharge when you pay with Visa or Mastercard (including debit cards), Apple Pay, American Express, Union Pay and Diners credit card. Payments made with cash, savings or checking accounts are fee-free.

Please note that The Ultimo requires an AUD 50 credit card pre-authorization, or AUD 200 cash or Eftpos deposit upon check in to cover any incidental charges. A credit card pre-authorization is a freeze placed on your account by your financial institution and is not a debit to the account.

Upon check-out, any outstanding balance owed will be confirmed and debited to the card provided. If the balance is zero the full amount will release back to your account within the next 5–7 working days from your financial institution.

Please note that pets can only be accommodated in the Ultimo Courtyard Rooms.

Covid-19 vaccination record requirement applies to all guests aged 16 years and older. No entry to the hotel unless you can provide proof of full vaccination or a medical exemption

Pros:

Nice spacious room with comfy beds. The only thing missing was glasses for water at night. That would be a helpful improvement.

I was located opposite the floor lift exposed to noise from other drunk guests late at night, by the time I fell asleep the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate late at night. Staff didn’t explain what happened on the night shift. When I checked out in the morning I asked the morning receptionist about the reason for the evacuation, he replied with I did not know that there was an evacuation last night. I said have you checked the log book or the communication messages, he replied with NO.

Cons:

My room was directly opposite the lifts and so I could hear people coming in and out of the building as well as in the room next to me. The room was great and large but could do with better sound proofing.

Mixed feelings, good and disappointing

Location, quiet and comfortable bed

Cons:

Room is not functional. Room is so small there is no where to store and use luggage. Kettle provided, but really no where to set it up. Bathroom floor was always wet from air-conditioning condensation drain, kept leaking from wall. There was no exhaust fan, so ensuite remained damp. Shower only has half screen, so a lot of water sprayed out, plus there was a poorly located metal shelf which further restricted movement. Overall, for the cost, it was a great let down. I suspect our room is reserved for Booking.com clients. Not even bottled water was provided. Our experience certainly did not match all the hype and cost.

Great value in good location for shows at darling harbour . I would definitely stay again

Great location, quiet despite being a busy area . We scored a room upgrade do had loads of space

Cons:

Our room had a bad odour from the bathroom drains - thus went with a hood flushing of shower and sink and we left the exhaust fan on
