Pros:

Unauffälliger, zugewandter Service. Perfektes Frühstück, dass keine Wünsche offen lässt. Zimmer und Bad super sauber. Fussläufig vom Bahnhof Wittenberg Altstadt in ca. 7 Minuten zu erreichen. Gern wieder.

Highly recommended for its spacious comfortable room, excellent bicycle parking and wonderful breakfast

Excellent location steps from the main square and close to the Castle Church and St Mary’s Town Church. Excellent, locked, covered bike parking you can access with your room key. Many electric outlets on the wall. Huge, spacious comfortable room (deluxe double). Excellent breakfast worth the cost.

Günstige Unterkunft im Herzen Wittenbergs
Pros:

Sehr zentral gelegen, sauber und freundlich. Ausstattung im Mönchszimmer nur das nötigste - eine Herberge im besten Sinne!

Cons:

Frühstücksbuffet gegen Ende ziemlich leer, das Rührei kalt und der Joghurt warm.

Starker Ausschlag nach der Übernachtung & ausbleibende Rückmeldung der Geschäftsführung

Ich habe vom 10.08. auf den 11.08.2026 in der Herberge übernachtet. Am Morgen nach der Übernachtung erwachte ich mit zahlreichen, stark juckenden Stichen an Armen, Bauch und Beinen. Dies habe ich direkt beim Check-out gemeldet, was im System vermerkt wurde. Ein Bild über die Stiche am Arm wurde zur Beweissicherung an der Rezeption festgehalten und ist den Bildern zu entnehmen.

Ein anschließender Arztbesuch bestätigte den Verdacht auf Bettwanzenstiche. Da ich vor dem Aufenthalt symptomfrei war und zuvor keine andere Unterkunft genutzt hatte, stehen die Symptome für mich in direktem Zusammenhang mit diesem Aufenthalt. Die Stiche haben meine anschließende Fahrradtour stark beeinträchtigt.

Auf meine Nachfrage bezüglich einer kulanten Lösung (Erstattung der Übernachtung und der reinen Apothekenkosten für verschriebene Medikamente) wurde intern ein Befall bestritten.

Eine von der Rezeption zugesagte Stellungnahme der Geschäftsführung blieb trotz gesetzter Nachfrist bis heute aus – obwohl mir für meine Nachfrist-Mail sogar eine Lesebestätigung vorliegt.

Wegen der gesundheitlichen Beeinträchtigung und des völlig enttäuschenden Umgangs mit dem Vorfall kann ich die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen.

Die Cranachherberge befindet sich in einem liebevoll sanierten Gebäude, welches einst dem Maler Lukas Cranach gehörte. Es ist mit uralten historischen Möbeln ausgestattet,.das Personal ist sehr nett. Preis Leistungsverhältnis zudem unschlagbar, das reichhaltige und liebevoll bereitete Frühstück und dire Sauberkeit der Unterkunft sprechen für das Haus. Unbedingt mal ausprobieren.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut.

Das Zimmer hatte eine Verbindungstür zum Nachbarzimmer. Der Nachbar hörte laut Musik bis weit nach Mitternacht und ließ sich auch durch einen freundlichen Hinweis nicht davon anbringen. An Schlafen war nicht zu denken.

Sehr schönes Hotel, vor allem sehr zentral; liegt direkt am Hauptplatz! Perfekt zum Sightseeing in Wittenberg; freundliches Personal; sehr gutes Frühstück; saubere Zimmer

Cons:

Kein Doppelbett; kein Hotelparkplatz, obwohl Parkplatz inbegriffen stand; Parkmöglichkeit an der öffentlichen Straße (zT kostenlos)... allerdings wurde uns dort prompt ein sehr teures Fahrrad gestohlen (wir bekamen keinen Hinweis oder Info, dass dies dort öfter vorkommt, im Gegenteil, dieser Parkplatz wurde uns vom Hotel genannt zum Parken)... ein großer bitterer Nachgeschmack bleibt leider!!!
