Bed was comfortable
Pros:

The room on the booking site looked nothing like the musty room with dirty carpet we stayed in. There was a balcony and the view was of an old satellite dish and attic vent for another building. 32 steep stairs to second floor which were covered in dirty carpeting. Hand rail felt loose as well. I’m not sure what room they took a picture of but it felt like false advertising to me

Cons:

Room was not replenished as expected

Pros:

Location & staff

Cons:

A miniscule cabin with bunk bed and sink in the same space, dirty carpets, tiny window facing wall and no elevator for $350/night. A total rip-off

Staff friendly, cleanliness needs a lot of work.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given great recommendations for dining and things to do.

Cons:

The cleanliness of the Catalina Inn was disappointing. The hallways had trash in them, and the carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. There was also a lot of trash on the balcony, so it was not a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the view.

We had just finished hiking the TCT and came back for an early night, but the TV kept glitching and cutting in and out while streaming. The pillows were completely flat and worn out, and there were stains on the bedding.

Overall, the room and common areas did not feel clean or well-maintained.

Great location, not the best value but I blame that on the lack of options on Catalina.
Pros:

Wasn't as terrible as the reviews would suggest. Was fine for sleeping although basic. Location was great and was the cheapest option on the island but even then we definitely paid more than we typically would for this type of hotel.

Cons:

Price did not match the room that we actually got which was a small bunk bed room.

Two small and bad placement of decor
Pros:

Close to main shops

Cons:

The room was way too small. The fixtures were placed on the wall obstructing the area for sleeping. The toilet was running and we had to fix it ourselves because the staff was gone at 9:00 p.m. .
