Really friendly staff, spotlessly clean. We were in a room in the Three Tuns which was another pub which was closed for the summer. Lovely room, quiet and comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning and a delicious evening meal the night before. Huge portions.
Nothing - it was perfect for an overnight stay
Bed was to hard
Very clean well appointed room. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast (wonderful sausages)
We were in an annexe over the road with lots of steps which were difficult. I appreciate that the main hotel is being refurbished.
The breakfast was average with the sausages and bacon being of poor quality.
The bedroom although comfortable was located in a different building across the road.
The wifi connection was poor with confusing addresses and passwords for the pub and separate building for the bedroom.
I found the staff, pleasant and helpful 😀
Nothing to dislike,to be honest
The location was really nice, staff were great, very helpful and polite.
The room was really nicely set out too.
A few issues but would definitely stay there again.
WIFI in room shocking which sort of ruined it a bit, with technology nowadays it should be everywhere.
Had to leave room and walk about outside to get any WiFi. Obviously no phone signal EE. Also a lot of menu choices not available which was a little disappointing.
Stayed overnight here when walking the Cleveland Way. Pleasant room across the road in additional accommodation. Evening and breakfast food in restaurant was excellent. Located right on the Way so couldn't be more convenient! Highly recommended.
All good!
This was our second visit to the Queen Catherine Hotel, and it was absolutely lovely. We stayed during a tribute weekend while the summer fair was on, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
The staff truly can’t do enough for you. A special shoutout to Claire—she is amazing, running around making sure absolutely everyone is having a good time.
The full English breakfast is delicious and we had the home made lasagne both incredibly tasty, fantastic chief.
The hotel is set in a beautiful, picturesque village.
Its hotel is spotless, the rooms, toilets and the pub.
The beds are really comfortable, the rooms have tea, coffee and biscuits.
I highly recommend staying here!

Thank you to all the staff 💕
Nothing not to like 🙌
Even though I booked the Queen Catherine the accommodation was at their other pub the Three Tuns across the green which was closed for kitchen refurbishment but accommodation was still open and very nice and clean with all the facilities a hiker needs at their other end of a long day.
As I was the only guest there were no staff available without walking across the green to the Queen Catherine.
Very convenient for my Coast to Coast walk. Comfortable bed and coffee and tea making facilities. Beautiful shower and wash accessories. Heated towel rack was very useful. Great food. Thank you
A bin near the coffee and tea making facilities would be useful.
Staff were excellent
Everything was fine
Breakfast was nice though had to wait quite a while.
Went over the road for a pint as there was just two old guys sitting separately in silence at about 8pm. Came back at 9:30 to find the place locked up and the bar downstairs lights off. Was not given an outside key but spotted someone sitting at the bar in semi darkness so knocked on the window. A gruff man with an Irish accent opened the door and said 'can I help you' in an accusatory way. I explained I was staying there and he apologised and let me in.
Went to bed wondering what would have happened if he had not been in the bar....
Room had plenty of cobwebs!
To cap it all the local town clock seemed to chime every half hour throughout the night which even ear plugs could not shut out. could not wait to leave in the morning and my advice would be to try and book the place across the road.
Everything, but the food was outstanding.
Nothing, it was spot on
Location.
No breakfast
