Awful experience, no locks, unsafe.

Not a 4 star hotel. Closer to 2.

The moment I walked into the room I was hit by a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which sits directly across from the bed. It never went away, not once during the entire stay.

The room lacked basic amenities: no mini fridge, no microwave, and no AC control, so there’s no way to adjust the temperature yourself. The bed was mediocre, though I could live with that.

More concerning, the door cannot be locked from the inside. On my last morning at 9:30, the same time I had left for breakfast the two previous days, a man walked into my room without knocking, using his own key card. He wasn’t housekeeping (no cart, no supplies), and the second he saw me he bolted out without a word of apology.

Ältliches Hotel in guter Lage und solidem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
Pros:

Die Lage direkt an einer Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist sehr gut!
Man merkt schon, dass das Hotel und die Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt aber insgesamt.

Cons:

Der Mann vom Check-in war leider unfreundlich, die Dame beim Auschecken allerdings sehr nett.
Der Abfluss in der Dusche war nicht sauber, überall Haare. Die Dusche ist nicht bodentief, sondern in die Badewanne integriert; für ältere Leute vielleicht daher schwierig...

Aircon.

Cons:

Noisy area, i was not expecting silence but some soundproofing would have been nice. A badly designed shower with an inwards pointing corner that i caught myself on a few times and black mould on the tiles. Their card machine would not work so had to go and find cash to pay for my stay.
