Pros:

Staff was very friendly and the remodeled portion of the hotel was nice. Great location.

Cons:

The ac/heat in my room was banging and my curtains broke in the first room, so was unable to have blackout conditions. I had to change rooms. In my new room I was unable to raise the temperature of the thermostat because it was explained to me the building was old and the thermostat did not work unless the outdoor temperature was lower than the setting I wanted.

Pros:

very aesthetic looking place , nice clean hotel. clean room, very pretty

Cons:

that you have to pay 16 dollars if ur parked for a couple hours. i feel like it should be a day parking. i shouldn’t need to pay 16 dollars for when i leave and come back and pay another 16 and leave and come back. pretty stupid

Elegence and superior service in a modern hotel
Pros:

The staff was delightful, and the restarants and bar spaces were extremely nice. The art deco theming and full lobby provide a sense of gracious elegence.

A quick stopover but I enjoyed staying here
Pros:

I like the heritage of the building. I stayed at this property 2 weeks prior in a deluxe room which was far superior to the standard that we stayed in this time due to nil availability of the deluxe. Towels need upgrading. The foyer is beautiful and relaxing. The bar staff were terrific and did their job well. As the bar was busy they allowed us to have our drinks and snacks in the foyer area. But they certainly didn’t neglect us. Well done bar staff

Cons:

Towels need upgrading

Quite room and comfortable bed.
Pros:

Clean and comfortable

Cons:

The carpet outside the bathroom was soaking wet. I told the front desk and they said just “put a towel over it”. It became worse the second day and we put the rubber bathroom mat over it it was quite a large area and not fun to step in barefoot at night.

A good 'down town' hotel with nice facilities.
Pros:

Everything was fine. It was a big hotel in a big town. The staff were very efficient and check-in was easy. We were surprised there wasn't a proper restaurant in the hotel, however the bar had simple food on offer which was quite adequate and the restaurant staff were eager to please. Same with a good breakfast, which was served in a separate eating area. Room was fine, quiet and comfortable. Good bathroom and easy parking.

There was a shuttle taxi service to Old Town & back (at a very reasonable token price) which worked well.

Cons:

Nothing
