We booked a Double Superior Room with terrace, plus a guaranteed cot/crib for our baby.

Check-in:The agent was polite and professional. The city tax wasn't itemized but the total charged was correct. However, we were told at check-in that we had to choose between the cot or the terrace room — not both — despite booking both. We were also told the bed was 180cm wide; it turned out to be 150cm.

That first night, around 1am, it became clear two adults and a baby, didn't fit in the bed. The night-shift staff managed to fit a cot after all. The next day, we asked a manager for an explanation, since this contradicted what we'd been told at check-in — no explanation was given, only a refund for that night.

Room condition: Amenities were fine, but there was visible humidity damage near the terrace door, with the wallpaper coming unglued. Soundproofing was poor — we could hear neighbours through the walls, and a gap under the door let in corridor light and noise. The air conditioning was very strong even on its lowest setting.

Breakfast: Good variety, no complaints here.

Service: Asked reception for an iron on two separate evenings around 9pm; both times told they had none left. Not sure how many the hotel stocks, but evidently not enough.

Summary: Friendly staff, but the discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered at check-in, combined with maintenance and soundproofing issues, made this a disappointing stay for the price point.

We booked this hotel 1.5 months in advance: a Superior Room with Terrace and a crib for our 7‑month‑old baby. In the booking confirmation it was clearly stated: “baby crib guaranteed.” Upon arrival, we were told that a crib is not available for the room we booked because it “doesn’t fit” (which is odd given the advertised room size of 28–32 m²).

At check‑in, the receptionist offered us either a Superior Room without a terrace with a crib, or the room we had booked without a crib. I asked about the bed width and was told it was 180 cm, so we initially thought co‑sleeping could work. However, our baby is very active at night, so this is not really safe. Later, we measured/checked the bed and realized it is clearly under 160 cm-definitely nowhere near 180 cm - so two adults plus a baby is not feasible.

When I asked to see the crib and try fitting it ourselves, I was told the cribs were with housekeeping and not available until the morning. We booked three nights, and I genuinely don’t see how we can stay safely without creating a hazard for the baby.

This is the first time in our very active travel life that we’ve faced a situation like this. It highlights a lack of coordination and communication: the hotel should have informed us in advance that the booked room category cannot accommodate a crib, and the website/room description should be updated to avoid misleading information.

Also, the hotel’s only entrance has stairs. If you have a heavy suitcase or a stroller, there is no alternative step‑free access—you have to carry everything inside. This is a real disappointment for an NH hotel in barrier‑free Barcelona.

Finally, as other reviews have mentioned, the air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, and the airflow is quite strong even on the lowest setting. If you turn it off, the room gets very warm.

It was very central to everything while on our holiday. Staff was great and we had an issue with our window and it was fixed by the time we came back from out exploring Barcelona. Very clean rooms and hotel. Breakfast was also good.

Emplacement au calme. Literie très confortable.

It was within walking distance of Casa Batllo. Also, there was an airport bus stop near the hotel. The hotel staff greeted me with a smile.
