Pros:

Great when on a budget
Pros:

Does the job perfectly well. The hotel is well location near the old town of San Diego.
Had paid parking but there is some free parking on the road directly outside the hotel.
Rooms are decent. Comfortable and with a good bathroom. One side overlooks the highway but noise levels are minimal.
Breakfast was standard HI Express. Basic but filling.
Sensibly priced considering the good location.
Right next to the highway so easy to get anywhere if you have a car.
