Not worth it
Pros:

The Staff was the best part of the hotel. It lacks most modern amenities. There were no Microwaves or mini fridges in standard rooms. Maybe the suites had them, but I am not certain. The hotel is quite literally falling apart. There were pieces of tile missing in the lobby. Some doors didn't close properly. Two of the three elevators sounded like you were one ride from meeting your maker. The only working ice machine was on the 9th floor, and with a hotel booked to capacity, guess how long that ice lasted? The carpet was coming up in places. I am generally not a person to complain. But for nearly $ 150 a night, I have stayed in Motel 6s that have been better maintained. The only thing keeping this from being a one-star review was how great their front desk staff were. I would not stay here again without some major renovations and updated amenities.

Ghostly hotel
Pros:

The rooms were so outdated. Bathroom wallpaper was tearing off of the walls. The shower drained really slow which had my feet flooding in water. There were no refrigerators in the rooms which I considered a health habit for those that needed medicine refrigerated.
The carpet was dirty. There were dirty towels on the floor outside the door when I checked in to my room. Creepy furniture.
For it to be in such a prestigious part of the city it is poorly kept up. And for the nightly cost of the rooms it was very substandard.

Do yourself a favor and pass on this hotel location - water shut off, allergic reaction, and building falling apart
Pros:

I'm usually super easy good and laid back with hotels as long as I have a clean bed, shower, and toilet, but... the building is in such a dilapidated state. Water leaks broken through the ceiling in multiple places. Carpets are dirty and frayed. Doors don't open smooth (took my coworker 3 tries to get their door unjammed) and then it didn't close completely when let go. The water got shut off while we were there, then the hot water was gone for the rest of the day into the evening. Waited until morning to shower again because of this.

I also experienced an allergic reaction to either the Crabtree shower products (which Reddit seems to show is a common issue with this brand) or the down pillows. The front desk didn't have ANY alternative shower products or down-alternative pillows. They offered me a towel to place over my pillow to sleep instead... They did have Benadryl in the store, thank goodness!

The guest services staff was kind and keeps the rooms clean, noise levels are good, located right in the middle of downtown close to plenty things to do, and the stay was affordable, but I will likely stay at Aloft from now on, even if DoubleTree is hosting the conference I'm at. This building's deferred maintenance is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand.

Good location, although you will feel like you need a shower when you leave.
Pros:

The cookies was great!

Cons:

The cleanliness of the lobby, elevator, hallways, restaurant makes it seem that housekeeping is nonexistent. Several floors do not have ice machine.

It was nice just a touch disappointing about the random fee, but me and my sister did make it work
Pros:

Over all everything was nice although it was a bit strange that we didn’t have a fridge or a microwave in our room, I’m not sure if that was listed anywhere though?

Cons:

Mostly the mini fridge and the microwave thing, but we had been told we could use the microwave in the made mart. And we had went down there to look around and then got a charge for the made mart when we didn’t use the microwave or even bought anything from there not sure what it was for :’)

Had to move rooms, not once but twice
Pros:

Pros: The shuttle driver named Earl was super nice and helpful. The location is good.

Cons: when I checked into my room, it reeked of smoke so I had to take all my things go back down to the front desk. The representative was not apologetic whatsoever, and had a terrible attitude. They moved me to a second room. In the second room, the air conditioner was broken. It was in the 90s outside, so I had to take my things and once again be treated poorly by the front desk.

The hotel is in just OK condition; it looks like they have not invested any money in updates to carpeting, paint or fixtures in a long time. It looks pretty tired. I will not stay there again.
