I was traveling with the government and this site was booked through government travel agency. Disclosure that we need to move with short notice was shared with hotel. On Thursday morning I was notified that we were being moved to another part of the state. I packed up and went to office to check out at 9:30 am. At first the office staff did not know how to check us out with a credit still on the account. We waited 30 minutes for the general manager to come from the kitchen to the office. He handed me my receipt. I noticed that tax was still on the invoice. I had given the office my Tax free form when I checked in. They also were charging for the current day even though it was only 10:00 am and check out was 11:00. They claimed it was because we needed to notify them 24 hours in advance. I explained that we did not get 24 hours notice when we move. Our travel department tried to get it corrected but was told that this was policy at this location.
Will never use this site again. I travel 6-9 months out of the year and have stayed mostly in Hilton properties to keep all of my points with one company. I have never run into this issue before of late cancellation policy.
Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Airport was our getaway lodging before heading out the next morning. We stayed two separate times. It is conveniently close to the airport and offers free shuttle service as well as breakfast. The room was up to Hampton standards. The first night the stay was fine. The second stay was substandard as we were lodged on a floor where there was ongoing renovation and we got to travel down a dusty hallway with loud fans blowing. But the big issue was being charged the wrong amount for the lodging and the staff on location was not able to make a correction. I spent an hour late at night trying to resolve this without resolution. It took a full week of several phone calls to reach the right person to get the charges corrected. I have stayed many times at Hampton properties and they have always been excellent. This stay fell short. It is hopeful that management will make the necessary changes to bring this property up to Hampton standards.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Location
Not clean
Room was clean in spite of construction going on.
Nothing
This is the third HI I’ve stayed at in the last 3 days and it’s absolutely the worst. They are starting a renovation and it’s way over due. The carpet in the bedroom must have been patched because there are three different colors and patterns and one is obviously laying on top of old carpet. The bed was not up to the normal standard of a Hampton Inn as it was hard, lumpy and squeaky. All four pillows were hard. The HVAC thermostat wasn’t working and although the instructions said to control using the thermostat, you had to use the wall unit. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. I have to say the shower was nice. Only one elevator working and it was very slow. The breakfast bar was very sparse. The oatmeal was not cooked and was half water. Only fruit was green apples wrapped in plastic wrap. Even if they charged half of what I paid I wouldn’t stay here again. If I’m ever in Nashville again, I’ll stay farther out.
Location was great! Staff as nice.
Carpets in hallways were wrinkled and dirty. 3 different types of carpet in rooms and had stains on them. Looked like renovations weren’t completed and left as is.
We liked the friendly staff, the airport view and breakfast was good.
The sofa bed mattress needs updated.
The breakfast was phenomenal. The access to airport was easy, and the shuttle was nice, although it does stop at 11pm so if you have a later flight you're unable to take advantage. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was in a safe, quiet location. The gym was well-maintained too, which was a nice perk!
The staff who greeted us at night continued their personal conversation for a while before attending to us while we stood right in front of the desk. Normally, this sort of thing doesn't bother me, but it was midnight and we were ready to get to bed.
