Disappointing Tired Hotel Rude Manager

Cons:

Old tired rooms with dingy dirty furniture, small old-fashioned (not updated) bathroom, surly front desk manager (Kat); hotel did not honor any of the previously-agreed to requests (paid early check in, crib). Dangerous neighborhood too.

The location was great. The bar was great. The staff and food; amazing. Although it's a older and historic building, it was in exceptionally great shape...clean and well kept. We plan to return...definitely recommend...

Cons:

There is parking available for a fee. After hours the attendant is gone and you have to call the front desk for assistance. The parking arrangements/instructions are not clear in my opinion.The signs posted says go to the 2nd floor to exit by foot after hours. In fact you do go to the second floor and then walk around, down to the street level entrance (level 1) to exit the building by foot. If you happen to use the elevator to go to level 1, that access will be closed after hours and you might not be able to access a foot path to the street level entrance/exit.
We came down to the front desk a few times and couldn't find an attendant!!

Pros:

This is a nice old property in the Pearl district of Portland only a few blocks from the soccer field and lots of restaurants and bars. There's an on-site restaurant and an exceptional bar with lots of atmosphere.

Cons:

Our room and bathroom were very small. The room was quite crowded and we could barely get our luggage in the door. It was pretty much all bed.

Great historic hotel
Pros:

Wonderful hotel! Enjoyed breakfast at Gracie’s and drinks at the Driftwood Room in the evening. The rooms were comfortable. Great location, easily walked to shopping, restaurants, and coffee.
