The room was relatively comfortable
The staff was strange and set off the fire alarm 2 hours before check out with no warning before hand. Lots of rules.
Nice comfy bed. The room was quiet and well appointed.
Location a little in a sketchy part of town. Toilet seat needs to be changed.
The night staff when we checked in was great. Some man was screaming in the hallway and the front desk shut it down fast. Kudos!!
Got in our room at 10:45pm and sat down and decompressed after our red eye flight was canceled. As we started to roll back the covers we find out that they are stained with something red that looks like blood. Called the front desk and the lady there asked to call us back. We waited until 11:30pm and called her again and then she came down. She had sheets in her hand and the ones she had were also stained. So she went and got the general managers sheets and used those for our room. We waited until the morning to bring up as we were tired and wore out. We contacted the front desk about our concerns. The sink was held up by one angle bracket on one side and hobbled together 2x4s which made it very unsafe if someone used it to get off the toilet. (Pictures below) we also had a three place light switch which was missing a switch that had paper stuffed in it.
We contacted the front desk and asked for the GM to contact us. As we were talking to the GM and showing him the cobbled sink, the light switch and about the sheets that had red on it. He said these are used rooms and all can do is give you 10% off the price. We weren’t asking for the whole room to be free. All we were asking for was us to pay for the cost of the room. This was a $294 dollar room that costs the hotel a maximum of $45 per day. How it was managed by the GM was not making it right in my eyes. But I can be persuaded if others tell me otherwise.
Location was good8
Bkfst was ok
Was woken up 2x by someone trying to get in our room at 2am (said they were front desk looking for someone)
NOT HAPPY
Furniture looks like rummage sale stuff
Maid ? Never came to give fresh towels or make the bed
downtown. Staff was nice
Internet was spotty and hard to connect to. There was no phone in the room. Hotel isn't kept up very well. This would be fine if it was a discount hotel, but it cost $300 for one night which is absolute robbery for what you get, and they took a $100 deposit that is supposed to be refunded back to me.
Shuttle lady and housekeeping and maintenance guy were good
No hot water, broken shower/bath faucet handle, lack of food and/or attendant at breakfast, wifi/tv not working
But--maintenance guy was great and fixed the shower problem.
Housekeeping was friendly.
Bed was nice
Called front desk four times to get a shuttle from the airport. Went to voicemail each time. Took uber to the location.
Breakfast was subpar.
Fairly good breakfast. Slept well. Good shuttle to/from airport and train depot.
Room - especially the floor- not as clean as should be expected in a hotel. Proximity to train depot (2-3 blocks away) with a whistle-happy engineer in early morning and late at night - but obviously not something the hotel could contr.
It seems that this hotel has done a lot of work refreshing / updating because the reviews are quite unfairly negative. The hotel was clean and decently modern fixtures / finishings. Beds were clean and comfortable, towels were the softest I’ve ever had in a hotel. Rooms were tight for 4 adults traveling with a lot of luggage, but overall, a comfortable stay and hotel itself met all our needs.
Staff reviews strongly mixed. Day staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful with recommendations, printing travel docs, etc. Night manager was the worst - accusatory, can’t be bothered to help at all. Not a great first experience, and very encounter was unpleasant. Hospitality is the wrong job for her.
Location - it is very walkable to downtown, easy access to restaurants and activities. It is just on the edge of downtown and there is a bit of what appears to be a homeless issue. We didn’t have any problems and felt safe, but the area is a little bit rougher than the surrounds. Hotel made sure there was no outside visitors in the hotel, and I had no concerns venturing out on my own.
מגוון האוכל היה מצומצם באופן משמעותי. לא היה אוכל בריא כלל. האוכל הקפוא היה בלתי ניתן לאכילה.
Umm….we survived.
Dump. Dump. Dump. One of the worst accommodations in which we have ever stayed. Cheapest option in town for a reason.
Needs remodeling on the outside.

Aging property that is close the rail station. nice staff - friendly and helpful.
the price per night. it’s AK in the summer.
we were able to pack back up and leave unimpeded to the Captain Cook.
upon driving up to the location we quickly discovered we were in crack alley and in fact transients were walking about the parking lot, including homeless man who was ready to camp out at the bottom of the stairs. while at the desk to alert them that we'd be leaving forthwith, another guest came up saying there was hair in his sink and the bed appeared to not be made fully, the basic maintenace on the property was not being done, were out, and at over $300 a night, I'm out.
Nice staff. It looks as they are improving their facilities.
