Grand Hyatt Buckhead always delivers a superb experience on every visit to Atlanta, GA. The facilities and staff are all five stars. From the moment you enter the hotel grounds you are noticed from the world class bellhops to the exceptional front desk staff. I would highly recommend that you visit this hotel. You will not be dissappointed.
We stayed in town for A Friends’s birthday and their wedding anniversary. It was an excellent location, very clean hotel and amazing staff to work with.We will definitely be back and at other Hyatt properties.
The hotel itself was beautiful, but the customer service fell short when it came to resolving billing and package issues. We were incorrectly charged $97 for breakfast even though it was included in our package. The resolution is to wait 5 to 7 days for approval.
Additionally, the chocolate-covered strawberries included with our package were not in our room upon arrival. The staff apologized and said they would place them in our refrigerator while we were out, but instead they were left on the table for about six hours. By the time we returned, they were soggy, and they weren't even chocolate-covered as advertised—they were dusted with powdered sugar and red crunchy "things" instead.
Overall, the property was nice, but the service and attention to detail did not match the experience we expected.
Todo
With the extensive remodel of rooms and lobby/bar area, the Grand Hyatt is now our preferred hotel in Buckhead. Obviously the Waldorf and St Regis are great, but not 3-4x more $$ than the Grand given how little we are in the room in ATL. Staff/service is great, location is great, rooms are brand new. Having access to Joe and the hotel car is a really nice perk. Bellman and valet are super quick. The club level is super convenient when you want a diet coke, snack, or shot of espresso and they had some great appetizers in the late afternoon. Lastly, Globalist recognition is very solid with access to club level, complimentary buffett breakfast in Cassis, F&B credit, and we have gotten an upgraded corner room each of the last 8-10x we've stayed. Another great stay at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead felt worthy of a review.
The property is clean. Amazing breakfast
Well it was supposed to be good until World Cup was on board and everything was restricted and couldn’t move normally in the hotel or to the gym or use the pool

Very nice upscale property in a great location. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Self parking was convenient. Staff was attentive. Rooms were nicely appointed and seemed more soundproof than other hotels. Club lounge had good hours and snacks/beverage but breakfast and dessert offerings were quite limited. They did give a $15 per night credit for food and beverage, so next time I will use that toward the cost of breakfast in the restaurant. Club attendant was friendly and helpful. Could not get the computer/printer to work to check into flights and print boarding passes and could not get the Chromecast to work but didn't ask for help as it wasn't a big deal and could have been due to a VPN on my phone. Free parking on points nights as a Globalist and 4pm check out which was much appreciated. Pool is quite large and nicer than I'd expect for an urban property. Room service included snacks and to-go type offerings in addition to traditional dining which was convenient. We were there during World Cup and there was a large contingent of DR Congo folks there (not sure if it was the team, coaches, staff, or just fans, but there were large World Cup buses outside and officials with badges) and most of the hotel was blocked off and surrounded by a very heavy police presence which made entry/exit challenging. But we managed just fine and were able to access what we needed.
Parking is $50 a night and about a block away. Beautiful, nice and clean. Reception staff is friendly. I attended to breakfast at the Club several days and it was very disappointing. The worst selection food I’ve ever seen at a hotel club. It was a positive, the club is open 24 hours a day. Club staff is mixed with review. The lady from Brazil was attentive and had a fantastic personality and also very professional unfriendly. The other lady pretty much ignored me and didn’t even because I said hello and I greeted her. And learn that’s not known for the best customer service but I was surprised. Anyway, the hotel is great. I will stay here again. Rooms are spacious and very clean. There are many shops and restaurants in the area so it’s very convenient.
Updated rooms and clean on entry
Poor housekeeping. Room left unclean on second day.
Always a great experience at the grand Hyatt! Room upgrade and delicious breakfasts with wonderful service. Already been here three times this year.
Spectacular bar next to a waterfall + a beautiful zen garden + attractive room design, but the quality at hotel is inconsistent. I left feeling underwhelmed.
(1) They were never able to get my in-room safe to work. One failed attempt was made and the promise of a technician who never arrived (2) carpet in room was dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years (3) a leaky sink faucet handle (minor but annoying) (4) inconsistent service at the bar (5) pool felt too cold on a warm summer night; I guess they didn't think to heat it.
The recent (about a year ago) renovations have really elevated the hotel. We stayed in one of the Grand Suites and it was very clean and relaxing. The lobby also smells really nice. I would happily stay here again.
Beautiful rooms. Great views. Amazing patio with lights and a fire pit at night. The staff was amazing and accomodating. The gym is very nice. The pool is not spectacular but still solid for a city bound hotel. They have a club that has fantastic snacks and deserts. I loved this hotel.
Great environment and location. Nice restaurants and bars. Service is phenomenal! Definitely enjoy the Grand Club benefits (top floors with beautiful views and access to lounge area with snacks and hors d’oeuvres throughout the day.
Arrived late and the reservation was messed up. Somehow there were 2 reservations but Drew took care of everything! It would have been a horrible night if he hadn’t been so calm and explanatory. We got it all fixed and headed up to the room. There were a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The pool was great and the Japanese garden was so peaceful
