Radisson Blu Hotel, London South Kensington

The room.
I arrived late and although the room was small it was clean and suitable for what I needed. However the was a generator noise all night which kept me awake. So my sleep was very poor.

Small bathroom

Where do I begin:
1. The hotel staff front desk clerk was arrogant and non compliant when checking in, i had given my name, though it was made to seem like i didn’t book at all.
2. The hotel was really outdated and the room which was advertised on booking.com didn’t live up to the pictures as a tourists i would think that the hotel would be upfront about their facilities, if i was the hotel, i’d also be embarrassed at how outdated and dirty the establishment is.
3. I had contacted the hotel (prior) to ensure that my party of 4 adults was always clear so that they could accommodate 4 for a family room, instead the hotel shoved us into a small family room with uncomfortable beds and pillows, we really couldn’t walk in that toom, to top it off , the breakfast buffet I had paid for based on 4 people only allocated for 3 people on their listing , either someone isn’t doing their job or this is just negligence.
4. The floor boards were creaking and didn’t contribute to a great stay, the floor was uneven and the carpet itself was dirty, the windows were broken and the cupboard had chips in its frame.
5. To top it off the hallways are small, and for a big hotel chain or rather big property i would think that logic would prevail for them to upgrade the hotel or even make another lift which fits more than 1 person .

There are no shelves or stool or place to put anything in the bathroom. There is no mirror in the room, only one in the bathroom. There is also limited cupboard space

The room was a little dated and small but better than most equivalent London Hotels

Pillows and bed were terrible. Pillows too flat. Didn't sleep well whole stay. Plus bed too hard.

Non existent service

Der Service war enttäuschend. Leider wurde auch uns, wie bereits der Rezension-Schreiberin Karin im Juli 2026, für unseren Aufenthalt von drei Nächten ein kleineres Zimmer angeboten, das nicht der gebuchten Kategorie entsprach. Gebucht war ein Deluxe-Zimmer mit 24 m², das gemäß Bebilderung über ein zweisitziges Sofa verfügt. Wir erhielten ein deutlich kleineres Zimmer ohne Sofa. Die Reklamation wurde auf mürrische Weise entgegengenommen mit dem Verweis, dass ein solches Zimmer der gebuchten Kategorie erst nach weiteren 1,5 Stunden zur Hofseite zur Verfügung stünde. Wir haben gewartet und letztlich das größere Zimmer bezogen. Am Waschbecken befand sich anstelle eines Handtuchhalters nur eine aus der Wand herausragende abgebrochene Schraube, s. Foto. Auch dies wurde unsererseits gleich nach Bezug des Zimmers moniert, jedoch wurde hier keine Abhilfe geleistet.
Der Teppichboden ist schon recht fleckig. Im Zimmer befindet sich eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine, leider wurde der entnommene Kaffee während des Aufenthaltes nicht wieder aufgefüllt, Zucker war zudem keiner vorhanden.

On a dark, rainy morning the breakfast room was quite dark (even dismal).
Still no device to warm croissants!

Hotel a bit tired, trek to lift to get to our room, lift very crackly and slow, room was absolutely roasting when we got there
