Great location. Staff were good and allowed us a late checkout. Close to tube station.
‘Non smoking room’ smelled of smoke. We were upgraded to ‘deluxe’ but room was still very small & smelled.
12 noon check out time is great, why can't other hotels do this
Nice dinner. Comfortable room.
Price was high, increased by 3100 when I had to change my dates.
Operational
The hotel is in the perfect location, making it easy to explore London. I stayed here with my friends and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Aditi, who made my stay exceptional. I asked to change my room two different times because I wasn’t happy with my initial choices, and she patiently helped me every single time with a big smile, making sure I was completely satisfied. Her outstanding customer service truly made a difference and I loved it. I would definitely stay here again whenever I visit London next.
The only downside was that the second lift was out of service during my stay, which sometimes caused delays. Also, the corridor doors closed very forcefully and slammed quite loudly.
Location - breakfast good. Reception staff pleasant. Bathroom ok.
Old fashioned. Rooms were very disappointing for the price. Odd smell. Windows didnt close. No tv control. Kettle lead so short you couldnt plug in. No coffee or sugar. Room needed good clean- very dusty. duvet cover ripped. One lift for entire hotel for use by guests and staff.
I really enjoyed my comfortable room along with the excellent hotel facilities, as well as proximity of fantastic locations to visit and dining restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment I have arrived. The cleanliness was outstanding, my comfortable bed being just perfect to relax after long-week of Summer School teaching. Chapeau and Thank You!
Everything met my expectations during my stay. Thank you!
Great location near tube and the Albert Hall as well as museums .
Room comfortable with air con, great in the heat.
Tea and coffee, fridge, toiletries, iron etc beds comfy .
The bathroom. Toilet ridiculously close to the sink.
One of the lifts was broken. Other one was really small . Outside noise , not double glazed bedroom windows.
No breakfast location great
It was all good
Stayed here previously so know the hotel and area and as was attending the tennis at Queens Club this made travelling to the tennis much easier. Had an issue on our first night with noise from outside air con units but hotel staff rectified this the next morning by allocating us another room which was larger and definitely much quieter. Breakfast as always was very good with plenty of hot and cold choices.
Nothing
Single room, bed size great. Bathroom with bath tub. Staff friendly
Close to where I needed to go.
No booklet inside the room detailing what is available, how to set up A/C etc.
A/C supposedly not working and room became very hot very quickly. I tried to call reception from the telephone in the room. It was not working. At reception, I was told the AC control was behind the TV set. A booklet in the room would have helped in finding it. Given the fact that I had to make a deposit of 50 GBP upfront before getting the room (this was undisclosed by the hotel before or during booking) meant that I didn't dare to move heavy electronics willy nilly.
No socket by the bed. Light switched under the table.
2 sockets by the door, near the floor meant that electrics were on the other side of the room relative to bed location.
Only 1 of those 2 sockets was usable.
Room telephone was not working.
Due to a medical condition, I need to sleep with my upper body at an angle. Normally in that category of hotels, you expect additional pillows in the room if needed, the choice between firm -ish and soft. I had to get to reception to ask for additional pillows. One was provided (thank you), but like the others it was extremely soft.
There was a very large gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. Not a fire door indeed!
This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but, to my understanding, that does not meet these standards. I had better rooms for less money lesser rated hotels!
