Nice stay in an expensive hotel.
Pros:

The location is great. Breakfast was very good, although I had to pay for it as it was not included in the rate. Everything was very clean.

Cons:

The price was very high, assume this was because I stayed there during the SMM fair, which usually causes the hotel prices to increase significantly.

Pros:

Very good location in historic building. Good breakfast.

The staff were very helpful from the cocktail waiter with spontaneous bursts of Nessun Dorma and at reception where I was assisted to buy a ticket to Lion King.

Cons:

This doesn't only apply to this hotel, but the room lacked air-conditioning when at times the daytime temperature was 35 degrees. People were calling it a heat wave but it persisted for 3 weeks I was in Germany. It's less of a heat wave but the new post climate change normal.

At Palaise Esplanade my room had a pedestal fan which I placed in front of an opened window to direct air in.

Bleibt mir positiv in Erinnerung. Komme allenfalls wieder!
Pros:

Inbegriffene Snacks etc. sorgten für das „gewisse Extra“, das in Erinnerung bleibt. Zimmer war sehr schön und einladend

Cons:

AC war nicht vorhanden oder hat nichts gebracht, während Hitzewelle war es sehr heiss. Allerdings wurde mir ein Ventilator zur Verfügung gestellt, das hat geholfen. Zimmerservice kam erst spät am Nachmittag, just als ich zurückkam um mich für den Abend bereit zu machen. Nicht schlimm, wäre aber zb am Morgen besser gewesen.

Ruhiges Hotel, angenehm altmodisch eingerichtet.
Pros:

Sehr gute, ruhige Lage nahe der U-Bahn. Freundlicher Empfang. Großzügig befüllte Minibar, die im Preis enthalten war.

Cons:

Am Eingang zum Hotel und nebenan zum Hauptgebäude sind einige hohe Stufen, die mit Gepäck etwas beschwerlich sind. Auch innerhalb des Hotels sind immer wieder Stufen im Weg.
