Ausreichend gut für eine Nacht
Pros:

Das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage für alle Ausflüge innerhalb Venedigs.
Das Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und total hilfsbereit.
Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse überdurchschnittlich, wenngleich die Produkte eher industrieller Fertigung sind.

Die Lage und die Freundlichkeit des Personals überwogen alle negativen Punkte.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und in einem für Venedig typischen Barockstil eingerichtet. Leider ist die gesamte Einrichtung und selbst die Teppiche in den Hausfluren deutlich in die Jahre gekommen.
Das 70er Jahre Bad harmoniert überhaupt nicht mit den Einrichtungen der Zimmer.
Insgesamt benötigt das Hotel dringend eine komplette Renovierung.

Uncomfortably Hot Room

Cons:

Air conditioning in our room was totally inadequate. It was cooler in the corridor outside! We were staying during the heatwave & the room was akin to a sauna.

Other hotels provided 2 bottles of mineral water free of charge on arrival. This hotel charged for it! We paid over AUD 500 for 1 night of discomfort.

To make matters worse after requesting the hotel to book a porter & transfers to the cruise port of Fusina for the following morning we discovered that it had not been done.

Well, I was not happy at all with the staff at the reception for trying to use my credit-card.
