Very disappointing
Cons:

The hotel did not live up yo my expectations of a 4 star hotel. It was run down and in need of refurbishment. The bed cover in my room looked 4 years old and had a hole ar some stage and had been patched. The bathroom was very outdated and the bed very uncomfortable.

Excelente ubicación para recorrer todo Venecia a pie

Cons:

Las ventanas son antiguas y no cierran bien, pero supongo que como casi todas en Venecia
Toda una experiencia habitación con vistas al canal, aunque desde muy pronto los ferris hacen bastante ruido.

Perfect location, big room with a great view!
Pros:

With a view over the Grand Canal - what was not to like?? Large room, huge modern bathroom, small fridge small balcony. Furniture was of an era but comfortable. Aircon was functioning well. The location of the hotel directly opposite the train station was ideal with great access to the Vaperetto that can take you up to St Marc's square. Conversely, you can just wander the streets and "get lost" which was just as fun!

Cons:

Thought some of the sheets/pillow cases were looking a little threadbare. The curtains made it a little difficult to open the window to get to the balcony. Getting your luggage up over the bridge is a challenge - pay the $$ to the scavenging porters with the trolleys to carry it over for you. I don't understand why they haven't built the ramp system on this bridge as they have for many of the others.

Location was excellent - walkable from the car parking area. Get a room with a balcony- you won’t be sorry

Great place to stay with good transport and food options nearby
Pros:

Great location just a short walk from the main station and transport links (including direct bus to airport). Hotel had a traditional and historic feel. Rooftop restaurant overlooking the Grand Canal had good food and service, breakfast was varied.

Det blev allt bättre för varje dag.
Pros:

Läget är perfekt. Nära till tågstationen och till bilparkering och till Canal Grande. Deras restaurang på högsta våningen gav förutom, en vacker utsikt över Venedig, mycket bra mat. Vi åt där tre kvällar och var mycket nöjda.
Det var mycket trivsamt att sitta på den servering som fanns framför hotellet. När man satt där och njöt av det pulserande livet på kajen och på kanalen, kunde man inta en kaffe eller en lättare lunch. Perfekt.
Mycket bra sängar som vi sov väldigt gott i.
Personalen i receptionen är synnerligen trevlig och hjälpsam. Ett ståndsmässigt sätt, men dyrt, är att lämna hotellet med en båtfärd till flygplatsen. Det är praktiskt och bekvämt och en härlig upplevelse.

Cons:

Rummen är väldigt små med få möjligheter att stuva undan innehållet i två resväskor. Dessutom var väskorna hela tiden i vägen. Men accepterar man de små ytorna så är hotellet i övrigt perfekt och mycket trevligt.
På alla hotell i Italien är de som servar rummen sura och ofta otrevliga. Det var inget undantag på Carlton men de gjorde ett perfekt jobb.

Fab location with very friendly staff

Location is amazing, straight opposite the station. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided a great selection. Room was fine although could be quite noisy.

Albergo molto bello, molto comodo per girare Venezia. Stanza ben dimensionata. Colazione ottima. Disponibilità e gentilezza del personale. Abbiamo preso la stanza con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Sicuramente da tornarci.
