trapped in the 70's

Close to downtown Mackinac and the beach.

Cons:

The beach was rundown and unmaintained was rundown-a raking and pulling of a few weeds would make for a better waterfront area for customers. The rooms were run down. The tub was very high and for an elderly person not safe to shower in. The breakfast was upstairs and there is no way that is accessible for elderly. Could not find the elevator within a reasonable walk for elderly. Seems trapped in the 70's and needs an upgrade. Sheets had blood on them when we entered the room and had to be changed immediately. Pool was run down and not maintained low quality.

Room was just barely acceptable. Rough shape. The door was secured using a chain and could tell it had been kicked in several times. No weatherstrip around door to keep weather or heat out. Air conditioner wasn't working correctly. Breakfast was cheap and cold. No variety and very bland. Only salt pepper and ketchup.

The entire property needed to be power washed inside and out!
Cons:

The rooms were very musty and dirty. The carpet was gross. The pool was very dirty with lots of things floating in the water. The hot tub felt like we were in a bathtub with strangers, none of the jets worked and it was dirty.

Very nice to stay this hotel .
Pros:

The hotel is very close to the ferry terminal; you can walk to the Arnold Transit Co. dock in five minutes. Breakfast was included with the hotel stay; we set off right after eating, and parking the car at the hotel was very convenient.

An elevator. We were not informed there was no
Elevator in the building. We were in 326 and 327.
I liked the location of our rooms but we are elderly and could have benefited from an elevator.

Met our needs for a one night stay. Probably wouldn’t be our first choice again if we returned.

Location and price were great met our needs for a quick one night stay.

Cons:

Could definitely use some maintenance, better cleaning and updating of rooms. This was our second time staying at this location in 5 years it has definitely declined over that time. There are lots of other newer hotel options on same street some changes need to be made if they want to compete.

Will look for a different hotel when we visit again.
Pros:

We liked having the balcony that overlooked the water. Parking was convenient and right by hotel. Was walkable to everything. The staff was very friendly.

Cons:

They need serious attention to building maintenance. The rooms are very old. Moldy ceiling in bathroom. Carpet needs updating. When we checked in there were 2 beer cans on patio table and no towels. We had to go ask for them.
