Très déçue de mon séjour, surtout au vu du prix et de la catégorie de chambre réservée.

J’avais réservé une chambre supérieure avec vue ville et mer, qui était présentée avec notamment un balcon et une baignoire. À mon arrivée, j’ai eu une chambre standard avec uniquement une vue sur la ville, sans balcon ni baignoire. Lorsque j’ai signalé le problème, le personnel m’a simplement répondu que « les photos sur Booking ne sont pas la réalité » et que ce n’est pas parce qu’une photo est affichée que l’on aura forcément la même chambre. Une réponse assez surprenante, puisque la catégorie de chambre réservée était clairement différente de celle qui m’a été attribuée.

Pour se débarrasser du problème, on m’a ensuite donné le numéro de la directrice, mais celle-ci n’a jamais répondu à mes appels/messages. Aucun véritable suivi n’a donc été proposé.

Concernant le rooftop au 24e étage, la vue pourrait être magnifique, mais malheureusement si vous n’avez pas une table proche des fenêtres, vous ne profitez quasiment pas de la vue. Il n’y a pas réellement d’espace extérieur accessible. Il existe un petit balcon permettant de profiter de la vue, mais lorsque les portes sont fermées, cet espace devient inaccessible.

Autre point très décevant : le service de ménage. Les femmes de ménage toquent régulièrement à la porte malgré le panneau « Ne pas déranger », viennent récupérer le linge sale mais oublient parfois de remettre du linge propre. Et l’hôtel semble également particulièrement économe sur le papier toilette, ce qui est assez étonnant pour un établissement de cette catégorie.

En résumé, l’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement intéressant et d’une très belle vue, mais le service et surtout la gestion de ma réservation ne correspondent absolument pas au niveau attendu. Le plus décevant reste le manque de considération face à mon problème : une chambre inférieure à celle réservée, aucune solution concrète et une directrice impossible à joindre.

The staff were unhelpful from the very beginning, and my experience only got worse after checkout.

I accidentally left my AirPods on top of the bed when we checked out at 11:00 AM. We left our bags with the hotel while we toured the city and returned at around 4:30 PM to collect them. Despite having had several hours to find the AirPods, nobody mentioned that I had left anything behind.

Unfortunately, I only remembered them once we were already on the train back to Madrid. I immediately checked FindMy, which showed that the AirPods were still at the hotel. I contacted the hotel straight away and asked whether they could investigate and, if found, mail them to my address in Madrid.

Initially, I was told that Housekeeping had not found anything. I then followed up with evidence showing that the AirPods were still located there and asked whether they could investigate further. Their response was extremely disappointing. I was simply told that when guests leave something behind, the housekeepers inform the relevant staff member, who records it, and that they had no further information and could not investigate the matter any further.

I have previously left personal belongings behind at hotels, and this is the first time I have encountered such a lack of cooperation or willingness to investigate. Given that the location tracking indicated that my AirPods remained at the property, I expected a more proactive and customer-focused response.

Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and, in my view, reflects poorly on the Meliá Hotels International brand.

Rooftop bar very small and rude staff , bathroom needs updating sink took up lots of the room in bathroom , missed having a balcony on the room especially with the sea view would have been nice to have a coffee in the morning out on the balcony
