The layout of the lobby was nice
My bathroom wasn't as clean. Floor, toilet and shower had hair... I wiped it away. The fridge had spilt brown stuff in it.. I cleaned that too.
I booked a king room but received a room with 2 queen beds...
The hotel was very loud people were running down the hall yelling which isn't the fault of the hotel, but just to note it is right next to the college.
1st floor
Got a late check out and we still got disturbed before late check out.
Its okay. Parking shared with a Chick fil a so a liitle crowed at time in front of hotel. Ground, lobby, hallways kept clean. Check in was easy. Room was clean, you can tell its old but updated. Out TV didnt work but they sent someone up within 5 mins. He worked on it for about 10 mins but got it working, Bed was soft so we got a good night sleep before heading to airport at 5am. Decent place to stay for the right price.
Good location
The hotel is convenient for downtown appointments, but business travelers should be aware that this is not a property I can recommend. I’m an extensive traveler and a Marriott Lifetime Titanium member, and my recent stay raised several concerns.
I arrived late at night and had both called ahead and noted in my reservation that I needed a first floor room. Despite that, it took three different employees to attempt to accommodate the request during check in.
When checking out, I never received an emailed receipt. I called the hotel—still nothing. I had to call again before it was finally sent. The receipt itself was surprising, listing every minor detail, including items like tuna spread [companies don’t require or need granularity] and several outdated food products still in the pantry. It did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect from a Marriott property.
Also, had breakfast in the morning…UGH! Eggs were gross, way overcooked and the restaurant was not very well run.
Given these experiences, I’ll be choosing a different Marriott hotel for future trips to the area.
Everything!
Staff was excellent
Breakfast was so-so. We enjoyed bar drinks.
The 150 members of the Washington State Cougar Marching Band at hotel for Potato Bowl . They were nice.
Very nice property, close to the stadium for a bowl game and also walkable into downtown. Whole Foods across the street. Great communal gathering areas, rooms and beds clean and comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful, allowed us an early check in and stored our bags on checkout day. Great stay.
Nothing
Great customer service; very nice room and lobby; food was excellent.
Everything was great in the room except the heights of the toilet. It was so short it was difficult to set down and get back up. I’m only 5 feet tall and it was too short for me. My husband at 5’11” had a really difficult time. It would have been better if there had been a safety rail beside it.
The staff was very helpful The two ladies that helped me check in on Sunday 11/9 (evening) help fix the check in/paying situation and resign up for my Bonvoy account.
Everything was amazing was satisfying with the whole experience
Excellent hospitality and facilities!
Clean and great location
Compared to other hotels in the area, Hyatt Place for example, this place is way too expensive
Hotel in General: This is a renovated Courtyard. It looks like the old style traditional Courtyard where a long corridor of rooms that encloses an exterior courtyard area. The difference is they kept one wing of the loop and on the other side added another elevator and a tower of rooms. You cannot get from the old wing to the new tower without going down to the first floor and walking through the lobby. When you walk into the lobby from the parking lot, if you turn left, there is an elevator at the end and around the corner that leads to the old rooms which have been renovated. If you turn to the right, you walk to an elevator to the new tower rooms.
King room: The old renovated rooms have nice updated decor and typical amenities of a Courtyard hotel. The bed and pillows were standard Courtyard style. The bed was fine- not great but not terrible; just standard Courtyard bed. I personally found the pillows to be uncomfortable. The shower was good and overall no issues with the room. It was what I expected for this level of a hotel. I personally do not care for the style/layout of old courtyard rooms.
Status perks: There were no extra perks for status besides the typical extra points or food voucher. I was checking in at the same time as a flight crew and noticed that they received welcome bags with water and snacks (I have Titanium status and did not receive the gift bag).
Shuttle: there is a free shuttle that will take you to the airport. You need to schedule a time with the front desk.
Summary: I’m on the fence with this hotel. I found Marriott brand hotel options were more limited in the area. When I return to Boise, I may try another hotel that has more amenities but if I return to this Courtyard I will ask to be in a tower
room.
