Even a 3-star rating would be generous
Pros:

I was offered a quiet room. Pool and spa is a bonus. Kid's play area is cool and spacious. Plenty of free street parking outside of the hotel, don't pay for the overnight parking.

Cons:

1. The breakfast buffet served same food for three days, and some items appeared to be leftovers from the previous day.

2. The hotel is quite dated, with worn furniture, dirty carpets, and a room that was too small for a family of three. The mattress was very soft and uncomfortable.

3. I also booked through Booking.com with payment on arrival, but the receptionist processed my card without mentioning the 1.5% surcharge. Regardless of the amount, customers should be informed of any additional fees before payment is taken.

Overall, I don't feel the hotel offered good value for the price paid. In my view, even a 3-star rating would be generous.

The hotel is convenient and my room was spacioius.
Pros:

The location is great for work. Grateful for the tea set up on a cold night.

Cons:

I arrived fairly late after meetings and a dinner and was given the honeymoon suite - it was big but COLD and a bit odd to have that huge space all to myself - way too cold to go into the jacuzzi bath area. Both of my stays I have been in odd rooms in that section of the hotel. It is really dated and in need of a renovation -- carpet, furniture, etc.

indoor swimming pool is good for kids

Cons:

Carpet way to old, very dirty. We booked two rooms, all of them out of shower Jel. We realised when taking shower😳!
Luckily, report to staff, he sent to our room in 5 minutes. But cleaner should fill them when clean the room.

Staff were friendly but facilities were a big aged and cleanliness wasn’t great for the price we paid for the room.

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

Cons:

Our room wasn’t very clean with mould around the sink and the shower curtain was quite dirty which was disappointing as we had an accessibility room. The disabled bathroom in the dining area was filthy at breakfast time.
