It would have been helpful if I had understood the "breakfast package" on checkin because it was "too late" when I got to breakfast
My omelette for breakfast was very good
I did appreciate being able to check in slightly early - as I needed to change to attend a funeral
Not being offered the breakfast package on checkin
Room were so dirty and carpet smells so bad
My 1 year old daughter got allergy because of the dirt
No cleaning at all on Sunday
Breakfast terrible Coffee dreadful
Vibe
Food and beverage prices.
Convenient location easy to get around spacious rooms
Not much but parking is a bit expensive for a hotel stay $35 a day is a lot . $20 would be ok
Lobby/Bar/Restaurant was very snazzy. Vibe was excellent. Room was very cozy for a winter visit.
I would've appreciated a bathroom with a tub instead of just a shower. Water pressure was just a bit too soft for me, personally, but no big deal. I'm not sure if that was an option within my budget.
Good location of course, despite the extensive construction going on around the hotel
Bar area and cocktail menu good
Friendly overnight front desk
Love the 70’s thermostat in the room.
Stayed here since early 2000’s when it was Rydges Lakeside. Whilst the hotel was clearly nowhere near fully booked, we were placed in a room that had the three elevators running up and down behind the bed… barely slept the two nights as it was like sleeping beside railway tracks. Not to mention how shockingly bad the pillows on the bed were.
Pelmet lights along the window, missing tubes and not working, poor lighting in the room.
TV menu did not work, unable to navigate to any of the menu options
Exhaust fan in the bathroom non-existent.
Nuts and pretzels in the minibar were open (reported to front desk)
Painfully slow breakfast service on the Saturday, we were served cold food, however the staff to guest ratio meant we were unable to flag down a staff member to give this feedback. I understand not wanting to run a hot buffet, but continental options should have been self serve given the short staffing of breakfast. Back in the day Bobby McGee’s breakfast in the Rydges was so good.
The lobby and public areas were clean but lacked atmosphere and staff (and scent).
Car park payment worked on the first day but didn’t on the Sunday and have a pending transaction on my card, but the staff member on the intercom claimed I didn’t pay…
