As people say a bit run down but it's not that bad. Yes highway and trains were noisy but I had the aircon on to drown it out.

There was only one lamp in our room so it was quite dark if the curtains were drawn. Need to put in a floor lamp or two.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel due to the unacceptable conditions and poor customer service we experienced.

Shortly after using the toilet in our room, it became clogged and overflowed. The bathroom floor was soaked with water, and the toilet was left in an unsanitary condition. I immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue.

The front desk asked whether I wanted a plunger or for someone to come to the room. I clearly requested that someone be sent to assist us. Instead of receiving prompt maintenance service, I was ultimately told that the hotel could only provide me with paper towels and cleaning supplies so that I could clean up the mess myself. I found this response shocking and completely unacceptable. As a paying guest, I should never be expected to clean up after an overflowing toilet or handle a plumbing issue that was beyond my control.

Although we were eventually moved to another room, that room was also unacceptable. It felt extremely humid and had a strong musty odor, making it uncomfortable to stay in and raising concerns about the condition of the room. Rather than resolving the situation, the room change only added to our frustration.

The combination of an unsanitary bathroom, the lack of timely and appropriate assistance, and being relocated to another room that was also in poor condition significantly impacted our stay. This experience fell far below the standard of cleanliness, comfort, and customer service that any guest should reasonably expect.

Given these circumstances, I believe a full refund is the appropriate resolution. We paid for a clean, safe, and comfortable stay, and unfortunately, that is not what we received. I ask that you review this matter promptly and issue a full refund for our stay.

Then lighting was so dim that you needed a flashlight to see the TV remote and reading was nearly impossible. There were no electric outlets near the bed and no way to easily charge devices. I had to crawl under the desk to plug in my charger, it was so loose that it fell out.. This is unacceptable in a modern hotel. At least provide a multi-plug extension at the desk. Although were no outlets near the bed, there was one conveniently located in the window. That was puzzling!

A bit old and interior in the rooms need updating

We are sensitive to cleaning products, so our lungs were a little scratchy during our stay (this happens to us sometimes during hotel stays). In a perfect world all hotels would use non toxic/unscented cleaning products but the world isn’t there yet. At least it was obvious that things were being cleaned and cared for. Breakfast was very basic but we weren’t expecting anything fancy anyway. We keep kosher and the staff was able to help us find a few things we could eat; we really appreciated that.
