This hotel needs to be gut renovated! The rugs are filthy. The rooms smell. The furniture needs to be donated to goodwill. Honestly, never again. It was just too old and dirty for me. We only stayed there for the park and sleep, but ill do something else next time. After a grueling trip from Europe this was the last thing i needed. The carpet in my room was so gross ( and this was my second room. The first had mold in the thermostat and stunk like mildew. I requested a different room) that I didn't want to step on it at all. I kept my luggage on the tiled area. This is so below standards for the brand. I will never stay there again.
The location
The hotel looks tired and worn and needs a serious updating. We won't stay there again until there's a significant improvement.
Location
The floor we were on there was a lot of renovating and the condition of the hallways were terrible
Didn’t have breakfast. Really liked the ease of using the shuttle service to get to the airport.
The bed is too high. Difficult to access for senior citizens. Also the sound of the a/c blower was annoying and ran constantly.
I really, really enjoyed my stay here! I loved everything about this hotel, even the fragrance. It's just a great place to stay. You will have to take a Lyft to get to most restaurants and businesses.
A decent hotel located very conveniently near the airport. The hotel is a little dated and not quite a 4 star hotel. However, it is nice enough for a quick stay.
Clean and convenient, but overpriced. This is an older, tired hotel in need of a facelift. The rooms are adequate, but poorly appointed. The shower was cramped with a door bar at elbow banging height and the shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet, at $25 each was a joke. Limited selection and all of the food was cold.
The hotel is very convenient for an over night pre-cruise stay. The free airport shuttle was super. The lobby is beautiful and recently renovated. The room was well appointed but could use an update. Bathroom was clean. Great for a 1 night stay. Close to many restaurants.
Cannot say enough how pleased we were with shuttle driver Wallace. One of the most helpful and kind humans I have met. He answered our call for pickup on the first ring and then provided the most accurate wait time. A true treasure.
Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to club level I think because it is my birthday week. Amazing yummy breakfast buffet. Super excellent staff here too.
When you need an overnight near MCO airport I highly recommend you stay here
We used the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel for a quick one-night stay. We only arrived in Orlando to use the airport, so we needed a nearby hotel.
The Renaissance delivered. It was clean, well-staffed, had good dining, and its airport shuttle was reliable. There's also a lot of dining options within a quick walk across the street. Definitely consider the Renaissance if you're awaiting your flight out the next day.
Convenient for the airport and has plenty of facilities, staff friendly and helpful.
In need of an update, room was a bit tired looking and needed a refresh. Breakfast was disappointing, good range of food at the buffet but cold plates and luke warm food let it down.
Outdoor space was very nice the spa jets a little weak pool and cabana areas were beautiful The smell of sandal throughout is a nice touch
Staff was a little Meh at check in
Staff was great, location was perfect for my conference.
There was a known plumbing issue; when I checked in, there was a note in the desk to let people know about a planned water shutoff the next day. When I looked at the note, the person checking me in mentioned that it wasn’t going to affect me since I was checking out the next day, before the shutoff.
At about 3am, I stayed hearing drilling and hammering sounds (very loud, but I couldn’t tell whether they were above or below me). After about 45 minutes of this, when they didn’t stop, I called the front desk. The front desk sent up a security guard, who explained that a team was working on the pipes and the sounds would continue. As it was now nearly four in the morning and I needed the be up in two hours to give a presentation at a conference, I had to ASK to be moved away from the sounds. I had to pack all my things and move to another room. Trust that I will never be staying here again.
It’s a shame; all staff I dealt with was extremely pleasant. The location is good, the food at the restaurant is good, the rooms clean and comfortable. I’ve been doing my job for twenty years and never had a more miserable trip.
This was my second and final stay at this property.
Start to finish, the entire stay was frustrating at best. I booked a king room 10 days prior to arrival. Upon check in, the front desk attendant asked if they could put me in a room with 2 beds- No thank you I booked a king. After several minutes, the attendant then advised they "found" a room and would provide access to the concierge lounge for the inconvenience. Only 1 of 3 elevators at the property was in service during the stay. As a result, it would take 10+ minutes for the elevator to arrive, if the elevator was full, guests were left to wait. I only went to the concierge lounge one time because it was a 20-30 minute round trip due to the single elevator delays. When I asked the front desk about the elevators, the front desk person told me "I don't know" .
The property is not in great shape, the wallpaper and drywall are noticeably peeling /crumbling in the hallways. The morning of check out, there was a crew in the hall (approximately 8am) stretching protective plastic over the hall carpet to begin a project. If work was schedule, why would you put people on the same floor? The parking gates to enter or exit the property do not consistently work, making it difficult to come and go from the property.
