Staff at the family brunch event was awesome. Great food at brunch. The hotel room was comfortable for my family of four. Good view and awesome location. We walked to the historical sites.
Floors and the decor looked run down. Registration desk is small and poorly staffed.
Nothing
The hotel had all types of problems… no phone service for over a month, hvac issues, water temperature issues, electrical issues, a lot of the staff was very rude and disrespectful to me and my clients.,
Nothing.
We arrived around 6:30pm after a 10 hour car ride. We were told by Valet they wouldn’t park our vehicle since it is a truck, we did not know there were vehicle restrictions. We checked in with the front desk woman who tried to double charge for the room due to me booking through Booking.com. She informed us at check in the hotel was fully booked, was unsure why she mentioned that. We get to our room to find it is 76° in our room on a 85° day. We adjust the thermostat to find it’s not working. I call the front desk and then send maintenance to help. He adjusts the thermostat, flipped the breaker and informed us the AC would not be working for our stay. He then showed us his work order list of 10-15 more rooms that are requesting assistance for the same issue. The maintenance said he’d bring us a fan. We went down to address the issue with the front desks woman who told us I would have to contact Booking.com and informed us again that they were fully booked, which makes sense why she inadvertently mentioned it the first time. We decided to wait at the lobby restaurant/bar while I was on hold with Booking.com. The restaurant staff informed us that the hotel has had many issues the last 2-3 weeks with rooms having no power and now most recently AC. If this was a known issue, why would they not check the rooms before check in for guests. Booking.com ultimately said it was up to the hotel to issue the refund, which the front desk never mentioned. The front desk had stated the situation was out of their hands. I returned to the front desk to inform her we ultimately would not be staying that no AC is not feasible for the price we paid and not something we would like to deal with after touring the area in the summer heat most days. We voiced our frustrations with the lack of preparedness and the lack of help from the front desk staff. She would not help us find another hotel or assist us in booking at a sister Marriott hotel down the street.
La ubicación es espectacular. La habitación buena, normal. El personal maravilloso.
Hay cosas que se ven muy viejas, el colchón no era cómodo, la cama extra una atrocidad.
The staff was wonderful
The restaurant could have more staff

In historic Philly
Could not control temp in the room. The room had a mechanical odor. At 2am the smell of marijuana was unbearable. I tried to use the phone to call the desk and the phone didn’t work. The cost for the room for one night was very high. The bed was super uncomfortable and hard.
Even though this Historic District hotel is only a couple blocks away from The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall - it needs some work. I stayed here for my son’s wedding since there was a block of rooms reserved for wedding guests. The bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling, a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly, and the tub would not drain well as you showered. The furniture in the room had marks and worn spots - seemed old and outdated. And apparently the furniture was similar in the suite that the wedding couple had. We had one family member whose toilet flooded their bathroom. There’s a textured wallpaper in the bathroom that collects hair and lint - not appealing.
The service was great - especially housekeeping. We had the beds made and bathroom cleaned, as well as fresh towels each day. I requested a late checkout and they were very accommodating since we had to drive family members to the airport and had to come back for our luggage.
Convenient area but needs a little sprucing up.
Location
At 11:30 at night there was a loud crash that scared my daughter and myself. It wasn’t a solitary crash. It was a huge noise like shelves falling and this happened a couple times. The guy yelled through the door that it was engineering. Seriously? At 11:30 at night.
Location was great.
Bathroom felt a bit dirty, very little light in the main bedroom.
La ubicación
Muy sucio, personal lento y antipático ,habitación un desastres goteras en el techos y del aires acondicionado orrible
The location of this hotel is great and the valet and check-in staff were both friendly and efficient. But our room was not clean. The couch was stained and the walls are painted a very dark charcoal color which shows every splotch, splatter and lint in the bathroom, which felt gross. Paint on ceiling was also unfinished. We also had issues with hot water ……..none in the sink and shower never got hotter than a very lukewarm. We were in a rush to get to an event so couldn’t ask to move rooms (though from other reviews, it sounds like this is a common issue). Bed, however, was extremely comfortable!
The property was clean and had a great location. The staff was amazing too.
The shower water was cold, Booking.com still showed they had a pool and it has been closed for a year. The lighting in the room was poor.
