La posizione centrale è l’esterno apparentemente elegante
Hall decisamente inadeguata. Spazi comuni ristretti incluso ristorante e sala breakfast. Personale poco accogliente. Sia all’arrivo che alla partenza le valigie ce le siamo scaricate noi dall’auto fino alla reception. Per un hotel di questo livello inaccettabile !! Servizio davvero scarso. Camera matrimoniale con vista sulla via interna da 3 stelle, poco confortevole e dotata del minimo necessario.

Breakfast was the star of the stay, beautiful spreads, delicious croissants, nice seating. Restaurant was OK, but staff felt under trained for the impression they were going for (French fine dining). Age of the building was interesting.
Beach view was beautiful, but you’ll pay for it.
AC didn’t work first 2 nights of heat wave (citing French regulations, that weren’t applicable), then was fine for the next two nights.
Building definitely has lots of character in the Salons around the property, but they’re aged and need an upgrade. Lots of little touches were “off” that you wouldn’t see messed up at a US middle market chain hotel (Hilton/Wyndham/etc). Didn’t replace coffee supplies in the room, lobby trashcan overflowing, whole hotel needs a deep clean.
Weak AC during heatwave (highs of 90f) meant we kept the room shutters and curtains closed to keep room below 80, didn’t get as much beach view as we’d have liked.
The room had a spectacular iconic view of the Promenade. The staff was very attentive and polite. The morning buffet had a lot of great choices. The hotel restaurant served delicious food and had a very charming staff. We loved being right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was well attended throughout our stay. Also, the decent A/C was a godsend during this heat wave.
For a junior suite room with such classic decor in a classically old building, you would think they would have re-upholstered the carpet or tore it out completely and added insulated wooden flooring or some other option. In no uncertain terms, the carpet was kind of gross. Like, worse than the first apartment my partner and I rented for cheap in Sam Francisco, California more than two decades ago stained and old. To be fair, it was clean and the room smelled nice (not mildewy or anything.)
Similarly, the shower head had weird issues and leaked a lot. I feel like that one in particular is a really easy fix, replacing a shower head isn’t too challenging or costly.
