Una Oasi di Funzionalità in un Bidonville Spalatino.
Pros:

La struttura, tutt'altro che un ''villa'', è un blocchetto di appartamenti da periferia che avrebbe potuto ospitare 30 famiglie spalatine, ma siccome rende di più affittare ai turisti è utilizzata come una ''villa'' in una zona che assomiglia un bidonville africano.
Tuttavia, le caratteristiche più importanti del hotel, come le stanze abbastanza pulite e le loro dotazioni (AC, flatscreen TV, i letti, ecc.), il giardino con piscina, il personale, e la colazione (una bellissima sorpresa: cibi freschissimi, fatti in casa e di ottima qualità), sono assolutamente top, in particolare considerando i prezzi assurdi che osano chiedere ormai per hotel fatiscenti in zone più centrale.
Ho visto trasformarsi Spalato da elegante e economica città UNESCO in una latrina all'area aperta dove gruppetti di ragazzi con la birretta in mano fanno i loro bisogni senza rendendosi conto. Ormai, anche per gli abitanti il centro storico di Spalata è off-limits 9 mesi all'anno.
Ovviamente, tutto questo non è affatto colpa di chi gestisce Villa M, ma questa struttura è un emblema del business model malato del turismo croato e di quello spalato in particolare.
Detto questo, chi non vuole spendere cifre assurde per un breve soggiorno a Split e sta una notte per poi raggiungere le isole (affollate sempre di più anche queste), non può sbagliare scegliendo Villa M.

Merveilleux Split Villa M
Pros:

Tout était parfait. Surtout la qualité de la literie vraiment confortable. On aurait voulu rester plusieurs jours malheureusement notre vol de retour était déjà prévu. Les photos reflète exactement les installations. Le service, réception et communication sont excellents.

Convenient stop to get ready for a sailing trip.
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly, flexible and spoke very good English. We came to Split for a sailing holiday, so stayed in Villa M before and after sailing. We are grateful that the staff allowed us to leave our luggage in the hotel and were flexible with the check-in time.
There are a few supermarkets within a walking distance, but only one is open till 10pm. The beach is 20-25 min on foot and there are great facilities there - Gal restaurant, cocktail bar, inflatable bouncy castle for kids and adults.

Cons:

We would have loved to have breakfast in the hotel, particularly that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but as we were told they offer breakfast only during the summer months. Another small inconvenience was the complicated way to the beach. There is no straight line or street, so we had to zig-zag through small lanes, construction sites and roads to get there. It took us 20-25 min on foot. But the beach is really worth it.
