Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Great location only a few minutes walk to city centre and attractions. Great freshly cooked breakfast.
No parking on site, although used the open air car park on Browns Square. The Forge (in house) restaurant had a limited menu.
The property was clean.
There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like
Loved the ambiance. Lovely reception area/bar and restaurant. Beautiful room. Immaculate and loved the theme of the room
Nothing not to like other than would have preferred skimmed milk in room. But this is my very niche preference. The little bottle of cows milk was a lovely touch though.
Great hotel! Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast. Handy location for the train station and the city centre.
Nothing!
A good hotel not too far from the center of town, and the Roman amphitheater (5-10 minute walk), with an excellent breakfast and sort-of nearby validated parking.
You do have to park in a garage that is about an 8 minute walk from the hotel. But I learned that this is just pretty typical when travelling in the UK with a car.
Had a one night stay at this lovely hotel. From the moment you enter you are made to feel welcome. This hotel’s staff are its greatest asset. The room was really nice and the bed comfy. Great bathroom. We can highly recommend this hotel. Our one mark down if anything would be the breakfast. Poached egg was snotty, sausages very thin and looked undercooked, our cooked breakfast came while we were eating cereal but the staff were again really nice.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Excellent food in the restaurant. Very good bathroom.
Nothing.
From arrival, we were impressed by the hotel’s modern, stylish and well-maintained surroundings, high standards, cleanliness, comfort, quality and excellent service. Its central location, within walking distance of Chester city centre, makes it an ideal choice for a short city break.
We would especially like to thank the teams who made our stay so enjoyable reception particularly Sophie, Ryan, Peter. The lead housekeeping manager Pauline and her team, the chefs and servers for breakfast.
No gym and parking. Parking has a solution.
Lovely modern hotel, comfortable soundproof room with fabulous bathroom. All the staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Clean comfortable room

Facilities and location. Comfortable room. Clean.
No opening windows.
The hotel was clean, contemporary and stylish. The staff were very helpful. The room was colourful and nicely decorated in keeping with our chosen ‘clock’ theme. Loved the shower and the floor tiles. Really appreciated the little bottle of milk in the fridge! (Far easier than using lots of little sachets that don’t open easily!) Some of the food was sensational - eg. The cauliflower steak delicious (see photo) and Guinness sticky toffee pudding. The location not bad - around an 8 minute walk from a suggested multi storey. Good that this also reduced the daily 24 hour parking fee.
The bed was quite high and not particularly comfortable. Also, it seemed as it was going down at both sides so my husband and I felt we were going to roll off the edges! Although some of the food was incredible, some was disappointing eg. the French onion soup was rather bland and the veggie sausages tasted fatty.
