The hotel was lovely and clean. The restaurant was silver service which was great. The food was amazing.
The stairs lol I had a full knee replacement 9 weeks earlier but it was good exercise and therapy.

The breakfast was excellent, the room comfortable and everywhere in the hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were cheerful and went out of their way to be helpful.
We are elderly and on the top floor with no lift so getting up and down to the room, especially with a case,, was not comfortable. The shower was rather weak and came hot and cold, difficult to keep at a comfortable heat and was in a bath so not easy to get in and out safely.

Having the parking available is a big plus.
The hotel is in a quiet area and the interior looks freshly decorated (traditional rather than modern). It is very clean. Fresh flowers in public areas too.
The bed was comfy and the room a good size.
It's a bit of a hike to the town. Downhill on the way, uphill on the way back, but good for getting your steps in so no complaints.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
The WiFi in our rooms was very weak. The connection kept dropping out but we didn't realise it. I've just got home to find that I've got an unexpected bill from my phone provider for data.
