Central location, near Goreme bus station. Amazing view from the rooftop, can see the balloon rides and sunrise
The location is perfect. The view from terrace allows to enjoy the city panoramic view and ballons up in the sky.
The personnel is very nice. Special thank you to Tirgut, front desk manager who helped us a lot, never forget about our requests and was super patient and nice to us.

We arrived very early in the morning and yet staff were so accommodating and tried to get the room ready as soon as possible. We were even offered to have breakfast while we wait. Sara, Hamza, Turgun and Mr Halil were extremely friendly and helpful. Our hot air balloon got cancelled the 1st time so Turgun managed to get us a place and a good deal to complete our bucket list. Breakfast variety is good, Sara is extremely helpful and friendly. The terrace is a perfect place for balloon watching and pictures. Over all we really enjoyed staying at Caftan Cave and would highly recommend the place.
Nothing but may be a full length mirror would be good in the rooms.
I liked that it was very convenient, very close to the city center and all the attractions. The room was exactly like in the pictures, and the bed was comfortable. In the morning there is a nice view for the balloon watching.
The only thing i did not like was that from outside people could see in the bathroom. (Room 104)
The only positives we can say about our stay is (1) the location was excellent being a 2 min walk from the centre and (2) the staff were very accomodating notwithstanding the circumstances of the rooms we were given.
We booked this hotel having seen the 9+ ratings however would absolutely NOT recommend this hotel for a family of 4. When we arrived we were initially given room 101 downstairs - this room had the most horrendous smell and odour inside the room that was making us extremely nauseous. It smelt like wet carpet and sewerage and mould - when we spoke to staff it was clear this wasn’t a surprise to them as the only solution was to keep the windows open. The room also comes with an odour air purifier so clearly a known issue and the smell permeated the bathroom and upstairs and I could not imagine staying here with young children (and there was so much dust in the canopy hanging over the bed and the bathroom didn’t have a lock for a room for 4 people???). The manager was extremely helpful and helped us move to room
105 which thankfully had no smell but the bathroom was in disrepair and the shower head was broken but more importantly the hotel only gives one key to access your room and the keyhole for room
105 was damaged / door handle loose to the point that we would struggle to open the door to our room every time we came back and there was one point where we couldn’t open the room door from the inside basically causing us to be stuck in the room which is incredibly dangerous (and the manager also struggled to open the door for us a few times proving that it wasnt just us struggling but a real issue). We had booked this hotel based off the other great reviews however we will not be returning and would not recommend this to anyone particularly anyone travelling as a family.

El hotel se encuentra en el centro de Goreme, pudiendo recorrer la zona a pie sin problema. La atención del personal es muy cercana, destaco a Turgun quien desde que llegamos nos facilitó información y ayuda en todo. La habitación es muy amplia con un lindo diseño estilo cueva, el baño bien equipado con ducha y tina. La terraza del hotel es amplia y bien decorada, ahí sirven el desayuno cada día, el cual es muy completo y bueno. Además, cuenta con un vista privilegiada del centro de Goreme, ideal para tomarse fotos. El administrador de bar muy amable y atento.
El segundo piso de la habitación tiene un olor fuerte a humedad, por más que mantuvimos abierta la ventana pequeña que tiene, ese olor no se va nunca. Hay que mantener el ventilador prendido para sentir un poco de aire fresco, pero sería ideal que tuviese un deshumidificador.
