Pros:

Kambarys buvo švarus ir tvarkingas. Norimu laiku nemokamai veža ir parveža iki paplūdimio bei atgal, taip pat iki 7-Eleven parduotuvės. Paplūdimys gražus ir jaukus maudytis.

Im Grossen und Ganzen eine gepflegte Anlage, einzig Die Duschanlage/WC am Strand ist eine Zumutung Es stinkt wie eine marokkanische bahnhofstoilette. Beim benutzen des WC blubberte sogar mal Scheisse hoch Es war übel.

Pathetic
Pros:

The pleasure of going to Koh Chang now belongs only to my memories.

Cons:

It's practically impossible to connect to the internet because the connection is so terrible. Now you have to buy a drink per person to swim in the beach pool. For a family, this becomes ruinous.

The staff is incredibly unpleasant from the moment you arrive; they text you to complain that there's no towel to dry your hands, even though you haven't brought any. Almost everywhere else, an apartment like this has a washing machine. Here, there's nothing. Not even a stovetop.

I've been going to Koh Chang with my family for about twenty years. That's over. Everything has become very expensive. You're better off going to Vietnam, or even Japan, where I go several times a year. It's understandable why foreign tourists have been coming to Thailand much less frequently in the last two years.

Quite, green and clean
Pros:

Marina Sands is the largest of three hotels of Blue Haven Bay, which mainly consists of oversized villas on towel-sized land plots, embedded in land-shaped green and quite free spaces.
The hotel has large and extra-large rooms, depending on room type, All are well appointed and maintained. Comfy (but for our liking slightly too soft) beds, Functioning, not too noisy air conditioning. A small swimming pool and gym is located directly at the hotel, a larger 40 m pool superbly suitable for lap swimming close to the beach restaurant where (grossly overpriced) breakfast is served, less than a kilometer away – excellent for a short walk. For those too lazy to walk, a free shuttle bus is provided, not only between the hotel and the beach restaurant, but also right into the center of nearby Baan Khlong Son. The Management enforces rules and regulations, which shows: Walkways within the area can indeed be used, they are not obstructed by posting signs, trash bins, flower tubs, parking cars and motorbikes, power poles, sinkholes, hawkers, hookers, sleeping dogs et cetera, and almost free of the notorious rubbish heaps along the streets, of which Thailand is so famous for. Actually, you might even think you weren't even in Thailand, if it weren't for...

Cons:

...a strangely high number of motorbikes. That might be due to the persons staying and working in the bay area, but probably more to the visitors coming in from outside. As elsewhere in Thailand, traffic rules are not applied to motorbikes, law enforcement here excludes them as well.
The beach is full of biting sand fleas, so consider it as being there for aesthetic reasons only.

Bester Aufenthalt
Pros:

Sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Hotel mit wirklich großen Zimmern und einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf die bergige Landschaft von Koh Chang. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend. Die ruhige Umgebung sorgt für echte Erholung, gleichzeitig ist die Lage perfekt – direkt am Meer, mit tollen Pools und in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Restaurants und Wäschereien.

Auch das große Badezimmer mit Regendusche war ein echtes Highlight. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – sowohl für kurze als auch längere Reisen absolut empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tatsächlich haben wir unseren Aufenthalt dort auch noch direkt verlängert aufgrund des Nahost-konflikts. Hier haben wir auch direkt Hilfe erhalten.
