So I paid a pile of money to stay here when I went to a bridal shower in Bloomington. I chose a room on what I thought was the top floor, but when I arrived I realized there was a row of penthouses above me, so I asked to switch rooms. I knew plenty were available because I could see the floor plan when I chose my room, and it wasn’t even check-in time yet—I knew lots of rooms were still available. Morah, the person at the front desk I got stuck chatting with, told me I couldn’t change rooms. Usually the denial of a guest request comes with an apology, but you can from the screenshots of my chat that there was none from Morah. She told me all the 4th floor rooms had penthouses or “equipment” over them—which you can see from the picture is completely untrue. Funny thing is, even after another lovely employee, Cortney, managed to change my room, Morah STILL said it wouldn’t be possible. Kind of obnoxious, don’t you think? When I mentioned this in response to the hotel’s request for feedback, I was told to contact manager David Dennis. I did so, but Dave completely ignored my email. And I’m a Honors member, so you can imagine how they treat non-member customers. Badly done, Doubletree.

Nice room and breakfast, but watch out for the freaky deaky going on in the pool area

The room was nice. The staff at check in were nice

Cons:

We stayed at the hotel for the kids to use the pool. At 9:30 when I looked in the pool I saw a woman performing sexual acts on a man in the hot tub.

Next morning we go to the pool at 9 AM. A woman was on top of a man in the hot tub having sex.

I told staff at check out about the pool and the essentially said that was a bummer.

Pros:

Front desk people were excellent. Hotel very clean. Indoor pool large but rail into pool flimsy and a hazard. Hot tub warm but sign posted that jets do not work. We were given 2 free coupons for wine or domestic beer in bar. I ordered Pinot Grigio and it was the worst I've ever had- could not drink it. Barrel House, restaurant associated with hotel, terrible food although the service was excellent. This property is heavy with Marijuana and cigarette smoke both at Front of hotel and in their courtyard. I do not recommend this hotel.

Would stay again with hope that beds got better.
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful , and location of outside eating facilities very convenient and reliable.

The bed was very lumpy and contributed to morning back aches.

Pros:

pool hot tub clean room

Cons:

No coffee after 8:00 p.m. ordered room service breakfast not very good at all housekeeping knocked on door and asked if we were checking out at 8:00 a.m.
