Ambitioniertes Design trifft funktionale Mängel
Pros:

Der Öffentliche Bereich des Hotels ist außergewöhnlich und stylisch. Das Gesamtambiente des Wasserturm, die Lobby, der Frühstücksraum, die Rooftop-Bar bestechen durch stilvolles Design. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war (der Hotelkategorie angemessen) gut.

Cons:

Das Deluxe-Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett für immerhin 440,- €/Nacht wurde wohl mal aus zwei kleinen Zimmer zusammengelegt und hatte somit auch 2 Eingänge. Die Ausstattung der beiden Zimmer glänzten durch einige stylische Akzente, ließen jedoch einiges an sinnvoller Funktionalität und Ausstattung vermissen. Der Schlafbereich und das Bad waren eher beengt, während der Wohnbereich überdimensioniert und etwas leer wirkte. Da konnte auch der angestrebte „Industrial Chic“ wenig retten. Im Schlafbereich gibt es einen hohen unnötig schmalen Schrank, der für die Kleidung für 2 Tage gerade so ausreichend war. Es hätte kein weiteres Hemd mehr hinein gepasst.
Das Bad verfügt über fast keinerlei Ablagefläche. Nicht einmal die zweite Garnitur Handtücher hatte irgendwo einen Platz. Seifenhalterung war von der Wand abgerissen, die Duschkabinentür ranzig und die Dusche war mit dem Halten einer konstanten Wassertemperatur überfordert. Kneipp-Freunde hätten ihre Freude gehabt…
Mit ein paar kleinen Regalen, Handtuchstange und Ablageflächen (freie Plätze an den Wänden wären vorhanden) könnte man einiges verbessern. So sieht es aber aus, als wäre der Innenausstatter zum Essen gegangen und nicht wiedergekommen, weil ihm die Ikea-Regale ausgegangen sind. Im Vergleich zum tollen Ambiente des Wasserturms war das Zimmer eher mangelhaft, insbesondere in Relation zum Preis. Ich werde es nicht wieder buchen.

Tolles, spezielles Hotel gut für einen kurzen Städtetrip nach Köln
Pros:

Der Wasserturm war cool, das Bett sehr komfortabel, die Angestellten besonders beim Frühstück sehr aufmerksam
und die Lage ist auch super. Außerdem war es sehr sauber.

Cons:

Die Sauna hatte leider geschlossen was sich „spontan“ so ergeben hat. Man hat zwar einen Gutschein bekommen für das Schwimmbad gegenüber aber das war leider sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das war etwas ärgerlich.
