Location and room was great
Right near town, good restaurant

Location is great, and it's cute and perfectly servicable.
Our room was above the restaurant/bar, and the music was loud and thumping until late. The rooms at that end should be discounted...we did not sleep well.

1. I was expecting glassware on the bar. Instead, they provided only wrapped plastic cups.
2. Minimal condiments for coffee.
3. The icemaker in our building seemed to stop working on day two ... we had to go to the main building for ice.
4. The bathroom floor and the patio furniture were dirty.
5. The exterior of the building in the marketing photo was very different from the actual building.
6. Lampshade was crooked.
They did not have the double room as promised and paid for. I had to rent another room in town. We need a partial refund.
We had a lovely time at Edgar Hotel! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and cute, and when we arrived the pack-and-play and extra sheets were already there. We loved the walk to/from town, extremely easy to do with a stroller. And at night, we loved having the Town Tavern right next door for a few drinks. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay! Thanks again to Eli the manager on our checkout date for letting us have a late checkout - that extra time allowed our little one to nap so we could all enjoy the rest of our day on island before the ferry home.
Cozy and beautiful location. The lovely weather was the icing on the cake. The hotel lent us beach chairs and towels.
Rooms were charming and very comfortable. Rooms were ready early.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend as one of the hotels for a wedding party. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, with the usual amenities. It is located about a 20 minute walk from the center of Edgartown and has a large parking area. A restaurant is located on the premises, and the farewell brunch for the wedding was held there, which was quite nice. The price for the room seemed rather high to us, but it's apparently one of the more reasonable hotels on Martha's Vineyard.

A little on the expensive side
We were this is past weekend for a family event. The room was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable around. The location of our room on the first floor of the main building was quite dark with not a lot of natural sunlight and no outside space - but we were rarely in the room and it wasn't a problem. One suggestion would be to improve the lighting in the bathroom.. It was quite dark, making it difficult to apply makeup for our event.
The location of the hotel is on the busy main road and it is mostly parking lot - no green spaces, but it is right next to the Stop and Shop if you need any items. It's a quick walk to downtown Edgartown - which was great, not needing a car for everything. If you are looking for a quiet spot with outdoor space or even a pool, this is not the hotel for you. But for our needs, it fit the bill. We rented a car and drove to the beach and all over the island. I have to give a shout out to the staff. They were outstanding. Every single person we dealt with were so friendly and helpful. They even gave us towels and beach chairs when we told them we were heading to the beach. They were so great!
Staff is amazing. Location and having Town restaurant connected is great.
Showers not a clean as could be. Bathrooms needed some work, grout and paint. Room smelled Smokey. No gym.
