Let me begin by saying that if LaQuinta knew about the condition of this place the company would shut it down. Outside grounds were unkept, carpet was FILTHY, walls were marked up, bleach stains on the floor, elevator was dirty & rickety. Overall, the entire hotel was in ill repair. We checked in and when we pulled the blanket back on the bed the sheets were all crumpled and it was clear it had been slept in. Desk clerk gave us a 2nd room, and the pillow had a clear head imprint, and the bed appeared to have been laid on. When we told them we were leaving and wanted a refund, a man came out from the back office & told my husband "I don't understand why you're upset" which started an extremely heated argument. The desk clerk tried to be helpful, but the man kept running his mouth & enticing a further heated argument with my husband. His customer service weas completely unacceptable. We had been traveling all day, listening to crying babies & dealing with rude people. We were exhausted & hungry and we were just DONE with this place. Honestly, if you walk in & see evidence that another person had been in the bed, would you accept it? Absolutely NOT! Note to self.....next time do NOT book through 3rd party because Hotel could not refund money immediately and we had to take extra time & stress in calling the 3rd party the next morning for the refund. Can't say it enough..... AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Only gave it 1 star because there was not an option for zero stars.
I do not know if I pay for two (2) or (1) person.
To see My bill before I leave, and not inform me that I will see it in my bill.
Disappointed. This property needs maintenance and updates. In our room the upholstered furniture was stained and old looking. The cabinetry needed to be painted. The elevator interior is scratched up and looks dirty. The carpets in the hall needed to be cleaned. The breakfast was basic but the OJ ran out, no honey for toast or tea and limited selections left me wanting to go out for food. Maybe that’s their goal.
NOTHING! NIGHT WAS FILLED WITH FIRE ALARMS! ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, FIRE ALARMS WENT OFF. AFTER THE FIRST ALARM WHEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATED ALL IS CLEAR, WALKED BACK INTO THE LOBBY AND THE LOBBY/RECEPTION DESK WAS FILLED WITH THE SMELL OF MARIJUANA. HEAVY SMELL! TWO OTHER ALARMS WENT OFF INTO THE NIGHT. AFTER ASKING FOR A REFUND THE NEXT MORNING THE STAFF BLAMED THE ALARMS ON THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE PERSON WAS THE SAME STAFF THAT WAS COVERING THE DESK THE NIGHT BEFORE.
NO FIRE ALARMS. STAFF MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND MORE ATTENATIVE!
