Die super Lage in Amsterdam. Gute Erreichbarkeit mit ÖV. Gute Betten und modernes Bad.

Cons:

Ausser den wirklich guten Betten und dem modernen Bad 2. klassiges Mobiliar mit wenig Platz um Kleider zu verstauen. Z.T. 'blinde Fensterscheiben' die den Blick aus dem Fenster stark beeinträchtigen. Düsteres Treppenhaus. Bedarf dringend einer Auffrischung. Mittleres Angebot zum Frühstück. Sirup anstatt Saft (O-saft etc.) ein NO GO.
Für meinen Begriff definitiv kein 4-Stern Hotel.

Fantastic and fun!
Pros:

The location was great, plenty of restaurants and sights to see! We stayed during Kings Day, so it was quite lively! Tram stop directly across the street. We walked all over as there are plenty of shops!

Great location, good breakfast choices. Room a bit cramped
Pros:

Great central location, less than 100m from a tram stop (3 stops from Central Station). Short walk from key sights. Busy square but no noise in hotel room. Great breakfast choices and nice hotel bar with outside tables. A great idea was that the hotel issued bar drinks vouchers in exchange for opting out of room cleaning and fresh towels - which weren't necessary on a 2-day stay

Cons:

Room was a bit cramped - especially the WC, which was squeezed in between a wall and the shower. Position of toilet-roll holder meant it was almost impossible to sit down/stand up from the toilet without bruising your thigh on the holder. Room had a coffee maker but no kettle.

Poorly Managed
Pros:

The Hotel is a Ideal location, and looks good at first. We are 2 couples 64-69 years old. Checkin , they do lock up your bags if you are early, but not helpful in any early-checkin or updating your room being ready. watching the staff from the lobby several times, I noticed they are over staffed at the desk with young folks , playing around and not tending business. I noticed the fruit flavored water in lobby was yeasterdays and needed refilling, and told them. They did nothing, unhelpful,and show no initiative.
We had 2 rooms, 504 & 204. Mine 504 had a non working coffee machine, dead light bulb in lamp, toilet seattucked in corner, very cramped, but greeat view. Friends had rm. 204, they said they finally turned down the bed after 2 days, and found a large yellow urine stain that they had been sleeping in for 2 days. Now I mentioned the desk staff, but clearly the housekeeping staff is "Under staffed," taking short cuts and not changing sheets and to be aware. This place is clearly poorly-managed. It has potential, but unsanitary and priority is on "Aesthetics" and not sanitation and functionality. Look for another Hotel.

NH Amsterdam Caransa has larger room and NH Schiller has a nicer reception area, lobby and bar. The staff was friendly
Pros:

Centrally located in Rembrandt square and everything was in walking distance. We had to be moved to the NH Amsterdam Caransa across the square due to a AC water leak. The Staff was very understanding and accommodating in meeting our needs.

Cons:

Since this was a historical building the rooms seemed to be somewhat small.

Cons:

Hotelul ne-a trimis un mesaj prin care ne-a cerut sa anulam rezervarea fara un motiv clar, fix in momentul in care ajunsesem de hotel pentru a ne caza.
Angajatul din receptia hotelului pe un ton nepasator si extrem de arogant ne-a spus ca nu mai au camere libere, ca au vandut mai multe camere decat aveau disponibile, ca nu il intereseaza situatia noastra si ca e treaba Booking ca vinde camere desi hotelul nu are disponibilitate. Am incercat sa sunam la grupul NH pentru a gasi o solutie, un loc de cazare in alt hotel din grup, fiind in situatia in care la momentul respectiv Amsterdam era sufocat de turisti, unitatile de cazare nu mai aveau disponibilitate, iar preturile treceau lejer de 600 de euro pentru 1 noapte. Vizitam Olanda si Amsterdam in fiecare an fara exceptie. Calatorim mult si obisnuim sa ne cazam la hotelurile din grupul NH in locatiile pe care le vizitam. Insa, dupa aceasta intamplare NH nu mai exista pentru mine si familia mea!
