Cons:

We had booked a Roomy Room with a large 2-person bed. Unfortunately that was a 1,5m wide bed. In the Netherlands a large 2-person bed is 1,8m to 2,0m wide. And they would not change it. We felt cheated.

Location was great! Very close to many of things you want to do in Amsterdam.

Cons:

Since the shower is not contained it creates alot of water through bathroom, even with being careful. Messy!

Historic Charm in the Heart of Amsterdam, with Room for Improvement
Pros:

The Hoxton Amsterdam is a charming heritage hotel in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the old city and within easy walking distance of many of Amsterdam’s attractions.

As expected with a historic building, there are some compromises. We experienced ventilation and electrical issues in our original room, although the staff were helpful and promptly arranged for us to move. Our “Cosy” room was clean and comfortable, but quite compact, making it a little difficult to move around with luggage.

The hotel offers a complimentary minibar, although ours contained only bottled water. There are also many stairs throughout the property, and adding a few ramps would greatly improve access for guests with heavy luggage or mobility challenges.

Check-in could also be more welcoming. The process felt focused on collecting credit card details rather than orientating guests to the hotel and its facilities.

Overall, The Hoxton offers character and an excellent central location, but given the premium room rates, I’d recommend comparing your options before booking.

Great Experience!
Pros:

We loved our one night at the Hoxton!

We loved our experience from the booking process where they were able to accommodate our 8 am check in time, from the check in process with Lucas who was so incredibly kind, all the way to the check out when they offered to help carry our bags outside.

The hotel is very swanky, unique, and in a great area.

We also got engaged while we were here and they left us a nice gift and note.

Hoxton Lloyd was a win for our family!
Pros:

The Hoxton was a great location for our family- a tram stop, restaurant, grocery store, playground, soccer & basketball court all an easy walk (100 yards). The staff was lovely and so accommodating, we loved the bunk beds, decor & atmosphere.

"A perfect Amsterdam stay: Warm vibes, amazing staff, and great location
Pros:

The entire experience was defined by the hotel’s perfect blend of style and comfort. The open lobby has this vibrant, living-room feel that instantly makes you want to relax after a day of exploring Amsterdam. All day bar and restaurante and a cozy room with a canal view. The perfect location along one of the pretiest canals near the 9 Streets and the Jordaan neighborhood.

Ok maar volgende keer zoek ik een hotel waar de beleving in verhouding staat met de prijs.
Pros:

De locatie is heerlijk. De kamer was zeker in orde. Mooie inrichting.

Cons:

We vinden voor de prijs die er gevraagd wordt voor de kamer, de beleving ondermaats. Veel jonge mensen (stagiairs) die met veel te veel te staan waardoor er veel ruimte is om te staan babbelen ipv met de klanten bezig te zijn. We mistten een verantwoordelijke met uitstraling die zorgt dat de prijs klopt met de beleving. We wilden 's avonds nog iets drinken aan de bar maar de bar ging sluiten. We kregen uiteindelijk nog wel iets om te drinken maar de manier waarop was niet 'The Hoxton-waardig'.

The Hox left me with a special feeling and I will definitely return one day!
Pros:

I loved the vibe and excellent service by all staff, with a special shoutout to Elise for being so friendly and attentive. All the staff made the six day stay a wonderful experience, thank you!

Cons:

The aircon in my room was not working properly. I did report it a few times but it was not repaired, especially during the very hot recent weather.

Kaina neatitinka Kokybės. Hipster stiliaus viešbutis jaunimui, su į kontaktą neinančiu personalu

Jokio kontakto resepcijoje, viskas internetu, nepasitinka kviečiančiai. Kambarys: labai nuvylė jo dydis, AC veikė be galo prastai, manau ji ganėtinai senos kartos, kelis kartus Prašiau pagalbos dėl Vėsinimo kambaryje. Kambario Nesutvarkė ir manęs visiškai niekas neinformavo, kad turiu apie tai Pranešti pati, nes buvau apsistojusi dvi naktis. Už tokią kainą tikrai nepateisina Lūkesčių.
